Amid ongoing displacement and bombardment in Gaza, many residents use social media to seek help for essentials like food, rent, and medicine. The U.S.-backed Israeli assault deepens existing inequalities, with barriers such as poor connectivity and algorithm bias. Fundraisers also struggle for visibility, though platforms like gazafunds.com have provided vital support.
This volunteer led, collaborative, evolving project builds on those efforts by verifying and amplifying survival appeals from trusted sources like gazafunds, radiowatermelon, palestineasdiqa, butterflyeffect, beesandwatermelons and helpfundgaza, while also confirming new appeals through consultation with Gaza-based individuals directly experiencing the crisis.
