A lil gif mood board thing to get back in the swing on things
Hey guys! It’s been a while and I’m really sorry I added to this groups inactivity. Susan told me how bad this group has gotten so I’m here trying to help out!! I don’t know when or even if the main will become active again but I really hope that it will be active soon. I’ll try to help out anyway I can!!!! If anyone is still active please plot with me!!! I have Duran and I recently resubmitted my tryout for Darren Desoto from Oliver and Company. I know Roscoe isn’t active anymore but I’m sure I can get around that. So if anyone wants to plot with Duran or Darren please message me!!

Being a Prefect is Hard
Duran was so happy that he was picked to be a prefect! But the sad thing is he never realized how hard it would be. Sure he knew some students would cooperate but it seemed much worse for him. With Duran skipping two grades and his rather small size most kids ignored him and whenever he would try to direct them in the right direction they would most likely just push him to the side. Well that won’t be happening anymore.
The day was going pretty well until Duran ran into a fifth year picking on a first year and taking the younger student’s book away from him. The interaction between Duran and the fifth year wasn’t that bad! Of course Duran had to raise his voice louder than he hoped but it worked! “William you are a fifth year picking on a first year. Do you realize how bad that sounds?! This is not the first time you have done this. Twenty-five points from Hufflepuff.” With that William rolled his eyes “Why do I have to listen to you? You’re like as big as him.” The fifth year pointed to the first year. Duran tilted his head and glared at him “Okay fine. Thirty. Would you like to keep racking up points or would you like to say sorry to Billy over there and walk away?” After an inaudible mumble the older student shuffled over and apologized to the younger student. “Okay. You can go now…Also If I see this type of behavior again there will be much worse consequences.” With that the fifth year dragged his feet away. Duran turned around to see a small crowd form from the commotion “Okay! Shows over! Come on getting moving!”
School sucked. Except it didn’t – it only kinda sucked, especially when Doug didn’t like whatever they were doing in class, because it was boring. But then again, Everything was boring to Doug. Boring, boring, boring, talk, talk, talk. More schoolwork than the eye could see. Here, Doug thought that being a Sixth Year would be more exciting than the Fifth Year, and yet it was only proving to be more of the same.
Doug let out a whine under his breath. He slumped low in his seat, head lolling across the top of the back rest, and sighed the biggest sigh his lungs could carry. His legs kicked an erratic rhythm under the table as Doug fixed his gaze on the person behind him, screwing and unscrewing his nose as he did so.
“Hi there,” Doug whispered. He had to be quiet, super-super sneaky so he didn’t get caught. “My name is Doug and I am bored. What are you doing? Can I do it too?”
School was so much fun. Learning was so much fun. Duran was so happy to be back at Hogwarts! And he couldn’t be happier sitting in Charms class. It was his favorite class and here he was taking beautiful color coded notes in his notebook. He was so going to pass the next quiz or test they had! Besides flying learning was Duran’s favorite thing to do. From reading a new book to just being class he always seemed to enjoy it.
When Doug turned around Duran raised an Eyebrow “uh hey Doug well uh I’m taking notes. It is the foundation of a good grade and they are so fun to make and color code! But uh we gotta be quite so I can focus on the class and not make a ruckus.”

Duran shrugged he had mixed feelings about the early Christmas stuff. Like how as soon as Halloween was over every store was filled with fake Santas and snowmen. It just slightly annoyed him. It’s not like he disliked Christmas he actually enjoyed it a lot. But this girl was talking about cookies. It was never to early for cookies. “Well I usually think people get into the Christmas spirit a little too early, but baking cookies is very different from having Christmas lights up in the middle of October. Practice does make perfect ” Duran slightly smiled at the other
Laughing she nodded. “oh, I know. Some people get very offended if you don’t properly address each holiday to it’s fullest around here. Which is acceptable. I’ll keep my Christmas light packed away till at least after Thanksgiving, is that alright?” She asked raising a brow towards him. “As for the cookies, I can’t really stop that. It’s just a really bad habit, which isn’t all that bad if you think of other habits people could have.”
Duran " I don't get offended but I think Halloween deserves its full recognition. It's a pretty fun holiday after all." Duran liked Halloween he would never go to a haunted house but he liked seeing the younger students get excited about costumes and trick or treating. Pumpkin patches were also very fun but now that he was thinking about it he had never spent Halloween at Hogwarts. Only Salem. Duran nodded at her "yea! That's fine! I usually put up my lights then anyway." Duran nodded "I agree. It's not really a bad habit at all. There are way worse habits then baking Christmas cookies. I mean baking is kind of a all year round thing anyway..except maybe the summer..? I don't know usually it's a little to hot to be infront of a oven during the summer."

Tim didn’t know what to feel about the new school year. He couldn’t really blame anyone but himself his opinions on school had always been negative after Salem. As the gryffindor walked through the halls he noticed out of the corner of his eye someone hobbled forwards struggling to pickup something from the ground. Like any decent human being he went to help, and the closer her got to the person he quickly realized that it was Duran who was trying to pick up the book.
“You need help there buddy?” Tim questioned as he went to pick up Duran’s book for him. He looked down at the cover, it was nothing he had heard of so he casually shrugged and handed it back to him friend.
Duran had not seen Tim in a while so when he saw his friend he smiled and nodded "Yea...I think I bit off more than I could chew..well carry. So how have you been? I haven't seen you in a while! Gosh it's so great to be back at school!! I am so excited for my classes and quidditch and prefect stuff!" The Hufflepuff quickly cut himself off when he realized he was rambling yet again "Oh gosh I started rambling. My bad."

San hated moving in because it felt like she was one of the few people that simply did not want to be there. Everyone shuffled and said their exuberant “hello”s and “Merlin, it’s been so long”’s, and frankly San had had enough.
After dumping her things on her bed, she left before any roommates or housemates could invite to do anything. She glanced behind her, making sure no one was following her as she speed-walked down the hall but stopped immediately before running into the person before her. She was ready to snap, a simple “Watch where you’re going” but when she noticed who it was, she softened, if only slightly. “Duran.” Quickly grabbing the book off the floor before Duran could get to it, she turned it over in her hands. “What’s this one about? The inherently, good nature of mankind?” She used a slightly mocking tone, but there wasn’t much ill-will behind it.
Duran smiled at the girl "Oh hey San. Sorry for bumping into you..Let me take that." Duran positioned his box in his arms and slowly reached for the book but when she questioned about he slightly laughed "Well actually yes and no. That book is about the good and bad in people." By the front and back of the book he could clearly tell it was his copy of "Catcher in the Rye" "It's a really good book! I don't know if you read much but it has a really good message and enjoyable characters. Well at least I believe so."

Annette was on her way to the library when she turned a corner and accidentally almost ran into someone. She was able to stop herself in time but unfortunately the boy dropped a book of his since he had a lot of things in his hands. “Sorry!” She quickly bent down to pick the book up, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, “Shakespeare, nice… Do you need some help?” She offered looking at all the things he had in his hands.
Duran sheepishly smiled "Yea..I don't read Shakespheare that often but A Midsummer's Night Dream is pretty funny. That one and Macbeth are my favorites. Pretty good reads in my opinion.." Duran looked at the pile of stuff that sat in his arms and shrugged "Uh well I don't want to waist your time or anything..."
“Hey! Do that again, and I won’t just take away house points, you’ll get detention!” Mer glared up at the troublemaker with her hands on her hips.
Duran saw the whole thing. Two third years arguing about some who's dating who drama and then it over escalated into a fight. Duran was going to try to jump in and stop it but one he was down the hall and a mob was forming around the pair and he was to far away to push through the chorus of kids yelling "fight" over and over again and two he noticed Mer much closer start to run over.
Duran walked up as Mer scolded the students "Yeah. You listen to her! And just so you two know if any of the prefects see this type of behavior again we will all take points and give detentions."
“Is it too early to start baking Christmas cookies? I mean.. I understand we have two holidays to go, but I need to practice.” Chewing on her lip she looked up and gave the fellow beside her a smile. “You can be the taste tester? Maybe?”
Duran shrugged he had mixed feelings about the early Christmas stuff. Like how as soon as Halloween was over every store was filled with fake Santas and snowmen. It just slightly annoyed him. It's not like he disliked Christmas he actually enjoyed it a lot. But this girl was talking about cookies. It was never to early for cookies. Odd Duran hcs Part 2
When Duran gets super nervous and is on the verge of yelling at someone or crying he starts to say random facts trying to change the conversation. An example is "Did you know Fish retinas generally have both rod cells and cone cells (for scotopic and photopic vision), and most species have color vision. Some fish can see ultraviolet and some are sensitive to polarized light?" When Duran lived in America with his mom he had an elderly couple that were neighbors with them. Since they lived in Nevada neighbors were about two miles away from each other. The elderly couple were very nice and they owned a small farm and owned two dogs. One dog was a Collie named Lucy and the other was a French bulldog named Ned. Ned was not the brightest and would often claw his way under the fence and wander away. The dog would often go all the way to Duran's house and sit at the front door waiting for Duran or his mom to open the door and give him some water and then drive him back home. Duran does not like scary movies. It's not like he is scared of them ((he totally is)) it's just that they are dumb and highly unlikely to happen and most of the characters act like buffoons.
When Duran was little his mom was trying to teach him how to ride a bike. It didn't go so well and he fell into a bush. He has a scar on his left arm from the incident. Duran has never been a fan of super hot weather. He would rather it be cold and snowing than hot and humid. Duran is a morning person. He can barely stay up past 9:30 pm. When somebody has a hoodie on and the strings are not the same length he gets very annoyed and sometimes will reach out and fix it

Please welcome Duran Mumbo as your 6th year Hufflepuff House prefect!
A new school year
Hogwarts was a bustling place. First years being shown where the dorms were, kids moving in and people catching up with old friends. Duran was very excited for his next year at Hogwarts. He had fun classes and he got to see his friends again. Everything was going perfect.
The Hufflepuff was walking to the dorms with a box with random nick-nacks and books stacked on top of each other. As he walked he made sure not to run into anyone. He wasn't going to run into anyone today. Duran was going to turn a corner when he quickly noticed someone step in front of his path. This caused the boy to abruptly stop. Thankfully he didn't run into them but it caused one of his books to fall straight out of the box. "Aw man. I knew I over stuffed the box.." With that Duran tried to awkwardly reach down with the box still in hand to grab the book.
