30 Day Death Note Challenge ↳ Day 3 - The best Kira kill (Kira tactic): In order to prove to L that he’s not Kira, Light gets Rem to give one of the notebooks to someone greedy and power-hungry (Higuchi), then goes to L and willingly accepts imprisonment. He relinquishes the ownership of his Death Note, losing all memory of killing people and being Kira. The killings continue even after Light’s and Misa’s imprisonment, therefore, their innocence is proven. After being let out, Light helps L with the investigation. Together, they catch Higuchi. Light touches the Death Note found in Higuchi’s car, gets all his memories back, and then kills him, obtaining the ownership of the Death Note again.
