Cù stumbles, the sudden weight on his back throwing off his balance, and he teeters in the air momentarily, arms flailing and mouth wide open in silent surprise, before he regains his balance. 

He cranes his neck, looking over his shoulder to see his attacker, but when he spies the familiar and endearing face of his daughter, he relaxes somewhat.

"Play with you?" He echoes in a ludicrous tone, though he is happy for the company. "Are you a child, Finn? How old are you, five? You haven't acted this needy in a while."

Cú tilts his head to the side, not quite understanding the nature of the statement. Surely this girl knew there would be no controlling her destiny, and there would be no knowing it either. He should know -he had tried to learn the terms of his existence on more that one occasion, only to be thwarted each time. 

Years had left him battered, with a resolve to let the river carry him in it's current rather than fight it. But the young woman before had an air of innocence that reminded Cú of a fawn -fresh faced and doe eyed and completely ignorant to the predestination of her being. Cú could scarcely believe she understood the concept of destiny and fate. 

"Yer not meant ta know that. There aren't any road maps fer the future, ya know? What comes to ya comes with a purpose. No use getting all hung over on the fine details."
