For my 1,000 post... i want to give a special shoutout to @midnight_tyrannosaurus . The mutation tour was by far my favorite, and most enduring tour I’ve been on. 3 months, countless states, lots of subpar airport food, 4am club nights/6am flights, but got DAM was it all worth it. From getting squashed in smash bros by @yakzdubs , or hitting the gym with @kaiwachiofficial minutes before we left for a show just to get amped up, or couch surfing with @cromatikdubstep because the hotels dicked us around. I’ll never forget screaming queen lyrics on the way to Phoenix in our Cadillac mob mobile (shouts to @enterprise for the hook 🆙), or bottle flipping on every surface till @midnight_tyrannosaurus just threw my water bottle across the room in frustration. It was @midnight_tyrannosaurus ‘s FIRST headlining tour and we crushed every date with great fury. Feeling rly blessed today. I’m sick as a dog, but having bad days rly makes you appreciate the days where everything seems to go right. Last weekend @itsaknightslife and I had the pleasure of heading the media team for @theuntzfestival . Anand and Avi were gracious enough to let us capture their little gem in Northern California. We got to witness @guccim3n come back for a surprise set, we saw @tiedyekyforeva , @gspacemusic , @mersivsoundproject , and @bleepbloopbass slay the decks. Not to mention the wooked on tronics set from @subtronics . Overall, it was a productive and draining weekend, but seeing all my friends play a festival was something else. People throw the word “homie” around a lot, especially when referring to someone they don’t really know. Well let me tell you, @theuntzfestival IS a homie fest. Everyone on that line up never forgot where they came from, and most of the lineup was walking around incognito hanging out at the fest, like they did before they started playing shows. If you’ve never been to The Untz, i highly recommend it. Florida is a wild place. People don’t use turn signals.. AT ALL. Sherrifs casually pass me doing 20+mph over the speed limit. Wawa/Publix’s everywhere. Shitty tattoos and theme parks galore. But alas, Florida has plentiful beaches and a warm weather. Big ups to Midnight T for slaying every stage he steps on. Man. Tour w/ @midnight_tyrannosaurus has been a blessing. Touring is emotionally, financially, and mentally draining, but it’s all worth it in the end, because you get to see your friends across the country, thriving in different cities. From seeing my first GOT episode with @12thplanet and @hopeuproar , to popping @cromatikdubstep ‘s Philly Cheesesteak cherry, to rigging a black background for @phisodubs press shots in a Canadian Tire in the middle of nowhere outside of Toronto with @munderzz ... its all worth it. I can’t believe i wanted to finish college and work behind a desk FOR someone else, when I could build an image WITH an artist. I’m not talking down to people with a 9-5, but there’s so much out there than just a 9-5 in a cubicle. Life is what you make it, but i wouldn’t be where I am in life without all these beautiful people giving me the time of day to capture their lives. So if you’re still reading this, thank you. There’s been a plethora of people that have helped me along the way, and I wish I could tag them all, but if you’re reading this, this far, you’re probably one of those people.
