Juan Rulfo was a very reputed Mexican writer (portrait on first photo), although I haven’t read something from him yet, I have been intrigued in how his photographs have been influenced by his literary work. For many years his photographs hasn’t been known, for further information (in spanish) read about his railroad project on bbc here:
