The city walls surrounding Nuremberg were raised between 12 and 16th century, and are one of the best preserved structures of this type. From 5 km running around old city 4 are still standing. At the end of II WW, the walls had 88 towers. Today there are still 71 in good shape.
Albrecht Dürer - the greatest men of the Northern Renaissance was a German painter, printmaker, engraver, mathematician, and theorist. He lived in Nuremberg in this house...

The golden knight at the corner of Pilatushaus on Tiergärtnertorplatz in Nuremberg.
The silhouette of old city in Nuremberg is quite characteristic. Burg, Tiergärtnertor turm, Sebaldus church... Isn't that charming?
Burg in Nuremberg by Night :)
Autumn in the city... but at night it's a different world!
