1) how many works do you have on ao3? Twelve but most of them are enormous.
2) what's your total ao3 word count? 690,948. Uh, holy shit.
3) What are your top five fics by kudos? Ficticious Characters, The White Room/You Wanted Me Alone (tie), Hidden In Plain SIght, Verse Two, Fetish.
4) what fandoms do you write for? U2 and that's it.
5) do you respond to comments? why or why not? How can you not?
6) what's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? They're all pretty happy but The White Room has the saddest/toughest moments. The story is positively giddy when it starts out, but over the years I tried to show these beautiful men dealing with real-life things like band in-fighting, parental death, getting older, cancer scares, and actual cancer.
7) what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Spoiler alert: Fictitious Characters begins with a teenage band performing for the first time and ends with them getting a record deal.
8) do you get hate on fics? Yes, and it made me take a LONG vacation from writing fic. Like, 13 years. In 2002, a couple of readers thought I put too much of myself into my stories, and not in a self-insert kind of way. Somehow using my own experiences and likes/dislikes seemed wrong to them. I'll never understand that, but creating fic is so much work for me, and I became disillusioned.
9) do you write smut? I write sex scenes when they contribute to the evolution of a relationship.
10) do you write crossovers? Nope! But see question 13.
11) have you ever had a fic stolen? I don't think so.
12) have you ever had a fic translated? Maybe? I have some readers fom Brazil and I think one of them might have done this for their own use.
13) have you ever co-written a fic before? One time leelah (a great writer from the early 00s who doesn't participate anymore) and I put Bono and Edge in an A.U. where they worked for an Office Space-like company, just for laughs. The fic was created in a long thread of LiveJournal comments, and if I remember correctly, we put them together as an actual fic. It doesn't exist anymore.
14) what's your all time favorite ship? I'm a one-ship woman, and that ship is B/E a.k.a. Bedge.
15) what's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I'm gonna finish You Wanted Me Alone this year, probably this summer. It's the sequel to Fictitious Characters, and I've been working on those two since 2018!
16) what are your writing strengths? Patience, dialogue, and research. I try to come up with inventive, meta-ish scenarios. I have a sense of humor about U2, and I love to write about love.
17) what are your writing weaknesses? My characters can be too dazzling and their love can be too perfect.
18) thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? The White Room takes place in the south of France, so I had to add little bits of French in there, and I don't speak French.
19) first fandom you wrote for? Le Bedge, 2002.
20) favorite fic you've ever written? Fictitious Characters and You Wanted Me Alone are the same fic for me. That's my soul up there. Close is the sexiest thing I've ever written, but there's no sex in it, and y'all are sleeping on Fetish.
