Plans for the (full?) demo of LLD

Small synopsis of what I am currently planning for the final demo of the game, final plans can (and probably will) change, suggestions are open!

Characters!

First off, I will be introducing (a lot) more characters in the demo. Which will include some of the student council, family members of the two love intrests, then extras.

Sabri Lance - Secretary of the SSG

Ezekiel & Noah Caelum - Ri's younger siblings

Lilya, Allen - Ella's bestfriend 😋

Sprites!

Just a small note is that I want to rework the sprites to have different poses. Though it's still unsure since I'm only one artist working on this, and sprites are stupidly hard to work on (for me that is), so it is unsure for the better sprites, but I probably will make new ones for the finaly game if ever.

GUI!

The user interface has been planned and sketched out. Release for it is not yet planned except for the fact I want it done and ready for users before the final demo releases. see below for the sketch of the user interface in the game.

Footnotes!

Just a small note that when the final game will be released is not known currently! I'm still on the fence about when I want the game to be released (currently because 1, I'm one person doing this just with the support of friends and stuff to play test. 2, I'm not sure if I want to release the game-- if it does finish early-- due to personal reasons).

Another note is that I am in fact open to suggestions while the game is still in development! I would in fact like input that people will have on my characters and possible events for the game (keep anything sexual PG though, though gore related stuff is mostly fine).

Ok so life update

HELLO, for people new here I'm M, the game's creator and basically I fell off the face of the internet for a multitude of reasons. So I'll just explain what happened and plans basically.

But before that, the game suddenly started popping off and I'm not sure why?? It got shared on tiktok despite basically being dead for a few years, but still !! I love seeing support for my kids (oc's) so thank you nonetheless :]]

Why I suddenly disappeared

Currently, I started this game when I was in middle school, or JHS in my country, and basically life and school took my time because I am in fact still a student. I fell off a lot of my social medias because of it, since I started socializing more and internet became a second priority. Anyway's I'm in college now!! Currently going to pursue politics which is probably gonna make me even more busy.

Planning and development takes a long time to do, and I have a big habit of procastinating projects even if I do want to do them (like LLD for example). So in short, I procastinated so long that life took hold T~T

Also I am in fact the sole programmer and artist of the game, with my friends only giving feedback so I also do the scripts alone, that stuff is hard to do guys (；′⌒`)

Future plans?

There's nothing definet, due to the fact I am a fairly busy person trying to get by before college starts (broke student core), but I do really want to finish the game! But the question lies is when. I would love to share more art of my babies when I can but even then I rarely draw nowadays T^T We'll see what happens in the future but as of now LLD will be on stand still, apologies </3

Fun Facts

Ri

She has two younger brothers she constantly plays baseball with. Since she's older, she sometimes lets them win since they're both pissy.

She's closer to her father than her mother.

Her father is a lumberjack, and as a gift for her 6th birthday (concerningly) she was gifted her first small axe that he handmade

On her 12th birthday on the otherhand, she was given a full sized axe, where the head was laying flat (so she could help her father skin the logs).

She has a habit of biting her nails, but she's a press on girlie (only black nails though). Bare washes her face with the soap she uses in the shower.

Jani

Was canonically emo.

Gave darling a matching promise ring but never told them what it was for.

His mother works for a very well known medical center, but his relationship with her is fairly strained.

Has a photography hobby but usually doesn't take pictures due to how busy he is with acads

Has a whole nail routine with how good they look. He also takes care of his skin unlike someone 🙄

Development fun facts

Jani's name is pronounced as "ha-ni". Me and my friend @mykalyn was obsessed with a chocolate with the same name (since Jani's as sweet as chocolate ha). I thought it just would've been funny if his name was spelled with a spanish "j" for absolutley no reason.

WHEN I WAS DRAWING THE SPRITES I WAS BLIND OK, I didn't realized I used to draw ears so LARGE, LIKE. Ri's design also is based off of me :]] So she does look like irl me without the piercings and stuff.

When I was making the game, there was this line of code that I went CRAZY with. It was the exit button for the main menu. It took me at LEAST 2 HOURS TO DO. I was in a vc with friends and I was having a meltdown because of it :'(

The secret name in the game as well, is attributed to one of my oc's in another series of mine TGOA, it's the robot that follows my persona around in the comic (though I haven't properly introduced her due to my hiatus).

Might add more if I remember more fun facts :D

Life Update esc I DON'T KNOWWW 😭 Like being serious here, I'm not sure when I'll be able to pick up any of my creative projects due to how absurdly busy I am with school :]]

I haven't even gotten the time to finish personal artworks (this excludes the art I make for my school orgs). I'm also very busy with my research studies since my group is striving to get into an international conference!

so yeah tldr: idk when I'm gonna be free (probs till summer but even then I'm not sure)

Hihi! I've currently been heavily inactive due to starting school this august so there has been no substantial updates to the game nor tumblr due to how busy I am :') The only update I can really give is that I have at least 2 pages of script for day two :]] I'll try to post art when I can, anyways yeah VERY short update

Official Hiatus Announcement :'(

Officially putting LLD on hiatus, too much has been happening that I'm not able to keep up with editing sprites and even editing the script. Unsure of when to pick LLD back :(( I'll probably take a few months off since I'm not feeling very well due to school and personal life. I can confirm though that I am in fact not dropping the game.
