<< The mountain fell away in front of them, the slope dropping down to where a lake sat in the bowl of the valley below, the water so clear, it held the mountains above it like a mirror, peak for peak, ridge for ridge, the reflection so crisp it was difficult to tell where the real thing ended and the water began. Snow covered everything - the peaks above, the valley below, the far shore of the lake. The sky above it all had transformed a deep, saturated blue of a clear winter evening.

Will's hands were in his pockets, his face tipped slightly upward toward the peaks. The reflection rippled as a breath of wind moved across the water's surface, the mountains blurring for just a moment.

so you've heard of cleradin helping byler understand their feelings and get together, but guys. what about byler helping 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙣 get together....

cleradin who save eachothers' lives on a daily basis and use the danger around them as a 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 from being in love

cleradin who aren't repressed because they're scared of being gay (the concept of labelled sexuality doesn't exist in their world), but cleradin who are repressed out of fear of losing the other one if they don't feel the same way

cleradin who cannot afford that risk because they are 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨 in fighting the danger around them and cannot physically SURVIVE if they lose eachother

cleradin who someday see byler happy and together in a world where danger doesn't exist in the same way, a world where mike and will are tied together purely by their raw love for eachother and not because their partnership is formally necessary

cleradin who realise they really do belong together in every universe, and that they are not tied together purely by necessity, but by devotion, longing, and it's the strength of that love that has allowed them to succeed in saving the other each and every time
