I genuinely can’t believe there are still people acting like the spin-off is going to be, “Eleven is secretly alive, Mike finds her, they move in together, have three kids and a hamster, and live happily ever after.”
Don’t get me wrong. I would love for Eleven to be alive. I really would. But the idea that Mike and Eleven are just going to pick up where they left off feels so out of place after everything we’ve seen.
What’s even stranger (things) is that people keep attacking the cast whenever they say they don’t believe Eleven survived. They’re insulted, and even sent horrible messages just for sharing their interpretation.
Then, when one of their own favourite cast members says they also think Eleven is dead… suddenly it’s just hands on ears, “lalalalala, I can’t hear you.”
You don’t have to agree with someone’s interpretation, but if you’re only willing to listen when it matches your own theory than that’s just filtering reality until it sounds the way you want.
