everything else was a distraction from the hereafter

Turn away.

so why is it that when your eyes glitter

searching deep in mine -

i can see my future, and the moments leading up to the now.

why is it that when i sigh, you catch it so perfectly in the 

curl of the smoke blowing from your lips, mirroring

the way i curl myself around your being.

so why is it that when i think of this world being so transient;

i think of your smile and 

perhaps this liminal space is enough for me.
