There’s someone yanking the line to stop the horses...
Conveniently enough, the person is hidden as well in the Intro.
Another character that’s hinted and never shows up nor even mentioned. I hope the Coachman appears in Chapter 7 so they don’t just have screen time in Chapter 8.
A large majority of twst fans think Malleus overblots because Crowley finally finds Yuu a way home. This person did go to Yuu’s world, at least for Yuuken. They hold the key on how Yuu can return. Another Night Raven College Staff Member…
Rollo most likely considers Malleus a demon since his name Draconia which is based on the Devil, Lucifer. Despite this, he’s kind with Yuu, even though he should give them the same handkerchief treatment.
Yuu has similarities to the Great King of Hell, Purson.
Purson…
Can take an appearance of a human (Is a human)
Sees the past, present, and future (Yuu’s dreams of the past for tell the future)
Provide good familiars (Keeps Grim in check)
Know the hidden things (The true colors of the Great Seven)
Has 22 legions (There are 22 main students)
Answers truthfully (Yuu is straightforward)
Has a viper and lion head (Jamil and Leona teamed up to face the Ice Phantom)
His name is Purson, one letter away to Person (Yuu’s name is a play of words for you)
Is a powerful ally to Lucifer (Yuu is a friend of Malleus)
Most of all, I hope there are more Malleyuu interactions hehehe
“There’s no need to be afraid,” From my fanfic. “You don’t need to be afraid,” From the Chapter 7 trailer. They’re the same thing. I can’t believe it’s almost been 2 years since I wrote that. This is it, all of the clues are coming together.
Malleus’ chapter is called, “The Ruler of the Abyss,” due to his Nihilist ideals. Or what Lilia calls him in the Comic Anthology, Nihilleus. His chapter will have to explore in what caused him to have such an unhealthy coping mechanism in the first place. It must be about the sudden passing of his parents.
So behold, a timeline. BY stands for Before Yuu.
1000 BY - It’s a thousand years ago because that’s how old Grim’s spells are as Idia said in 6-42. Grim himself isn’t 1000 years old but the one who cast the spell is. A person that cast a series of spells, making it so complex that even the most advanced tech would take a 100 years to figure it out. I hope this person isn’t a threat.
Around this time, there was a Lord of Briar Valley who was guarded by Lilia. This man must have been the current Queen’s late husband since she entrusted Lilia, a talented soldier with many metals, to protect him. When you marry a princess, you don’t become a prince. The Lord was killed either at this point or later.
600 BY - Maleficent dies and since Graconia had no spouse to help her with the work, she has her child that is already married, inherit the crown.
Sebek’s grandfather would have been part of the royal guard of the King of Thorns. This doesn’t mean Graconia’s child was a king. It can be short for King Consort.
500 BY - This is the time when the Ghost Princess’ kingdom was destroyed so we can assume, there were many calamities around this period. The Monarch and their spouse die, making Graconia Queen since Malleus was too young to bear the duties and needed to grieve.
Overall, being Draconia and Vanrouge is PAIN. I cannot even. Lilia is not dying from old age. He is gonna die from HEARTBREAK. His lord died, then his child died later. Now Malleus is going to overblot and is getting death flags but maybe because that’s how his parents died. If that’s true, he’s dying the same way his parents did. At this point the writers of Twst have a dartboard of what trauma to give them next.
The Old man can’t catch a break. He may be retired, but not from the war within. A war he never enlisted in. I don’t blame him for swinging around death flags.
Callum reads a spell book; one of his many gifts from his birthday today. It was a book that only had Ancient Draconic language. His other magical presents had been placed on one of the tables by the guards. Much more than last year since it’s become easier to get for humans. But Callum couldn’t be overjoyed since it was another birthday without Rayla.
He shuts the book in defeat, for he had already spent hours trying to decipher it. He much preferred demonstration rather than read from this book. It would much easier if someone fluent in it guided him.
Callum looks over at the mirror covered by the blanket. He could tell it wasn’t ordinary based off its appearance alone. Anything Viren had here wasn’t, and as narcissist as he was, even he wouldn’t keep a fancy mirror in his study. Callum reaches for the blanket to try again on getting it to work but someone interrupts him.
“Happy birthday Callum.” A woman says. He halts. He thought he was alone. There was no sound of the door opening and he made sure it was locked so no one would see him attempt spells like a fool.
Not even Rayla could sneak up on him when they first met. His senses has gotten better since he connected to the Sky Arcanum. Even with that, he couldn’t sense this woman’s presence at all. If someone hid themselves so well, you can’t help but think they’re up to no good.
The woman doesn’t say anything even though it would easily cut this tense silence with her lullaby voice. Callum finally made up his mind to face her. Whether her intentions were good or not, he should at least know what she looks like. She did say happy birthday so he gave her a benefit of doubt.
“Thanks,” Callum turns around but sees no one. “Sorry for not noticing you sooner,”
“Very few can,” She sounded close yet no matter how much Callum looked, no one was there with him. Physically at least. Was she a ghost?
He gives up on searching and finally asked. “Where are you?”
“On the table,” There was another one not covered with presents. Other things were on it, but Callum caught his eye on one object. He picks up the Key of Aaravos. Callum was still not close to figuring out what it can do, other than shine an Arcanum, and roll in a certain direction. Now he can take a step toward.
His eyes were wide open. “You can talk?”
“I am within it, not the object itself.“ She answers.
“Who are you then?”
She was silent for a moment until replying, “Lady Justice.”
A shiver travels up his spine; not out of the cold nor fear. Okay, maybe a little bit of fear but could you blame him? This person was essentially the Goddess of Katolis. History says that she helped the Orphan Queen build Katolis and divide the human continent into the kingdoms they are today. She had taken many forms, but she always wore a blindfold.
“My dad talked about you before. You came to him in a dream,” Callum whispered.
“I provide whoever carries the Key of Aaravos, wisdom and protection,”
Callum had a million questions but he didn’t want to burden her with them. Not even about Aaravos nor the mirror. Instead he simply says, “I don’t remember you helping me,”
“I simply didn’t make it obvious,”
He scratched his head without ruining his hairstyle further.
“I was the one that gave you a nightmare,”
It flashed within his mind. His dark self. The cube. Drowning in the ocean. His mother. All of that happened in his sleep. How could he ever forget what brought him to the position he’s in now? If it weren’t for that nightmare, he wouldn’t have been able to save Rayla that day.
Lady Justice cuts his flow of thought. “It was a push you needed. If it was that easy to connect to a primal source, there would be much more mages.”
“That was your doing? You were the one that connected me to the Sky Arcanum?”
“I only gave you the connection. The nightmare was my test to you. What you did with it, is your accomplishments.” She reassured him.
Callum slouched. “So not every human can do it...”
“Of course not. If it weren’t for your determination and good nature... I never would have given it. You became this skilled without my guidance. Though you weren’t connected like everyone else... do not that run down on your achievements,” Lady Justice’s words had no deception in them. It was all sincere.
“If you’re connecting me to the Sky, then can I connect to others too?”
“No. You must have a mass amount of magical power to connect someone to an Arcanum,” She becomes silent. “Let me put it this way.”
He sets down the cube and pulls out a chair to sit. Callum stares at the cube, eager to learn.
She continues to explain. “I have a large cake... I give you a slice. You could do whatever you want with the slice of cake. Therefore, you have a maximum of how much power you can set forth,”
“Got it,” Callum bumps his fist into his palm.
“You’re not bitter?” She asks.
He smiles. “There’s plenty of things I can do with cake,”
Lady Justice barely chuckled. Until this moment, she spoke with little emotion. At least Callum wasn’t the only one trying to hide his big feelings.
“So...You can look into my memories?” He questions.
“I wouldn’t do that without your permission,”
“King Harrow was my previous carrier until his last days. I have looked over his father and ancestors ever since the Orphan Queen,”
“Shouldn’t Ezran have this cube then?” Callum held it up.
“Harrow entrusted it to you,”
Callum began to wonder and asks, “How much do you know?”
“What you’ve seen, I have as well,” Lady Justice states.
Callum thinks of what has happened with the cube. He’s had it since Rayla retrieved it from the Bather’s Lodge. So much has happened since then and he thinks of one that stuck with him like glass imbedded into his skin.
Seeing Rayla fall from the mountain after tackling Viren. If Lady Justice saw everything he has, why didn’t she do anything? Would she be able to do anything? If the spell didn’t work, what would happen then? These questions raced in his mind which made him grow even more dreary.
Even though Callum said nothing, Lady Justice knew him well enough to know what he was thinking. “I would have saved you two but Callum… I shouldn’t leave this place,”
By this place, did she mean the stage in the darkness from his nightmare? He couldn’t imagine being stuck in there for as long as Lady Justice was. By saying shouldn’t, it meant she can get out if she wanted to. Why would she willingly stay at such a place?
“You need to wait for her return. …If you look at the moon, perhaps she is as well,”
Callum’s eyes began to water but he sweep them away before they could fall. “How did you get into a cube?” He wanted to change the subject.
“…It’s a long story.” Her voice drifted off slightly. Clearly it wasn’t a good one.
“If it’s any similar to my nightmare, it must be hard being in there.”
“Not really. It’s much safer than being out,”
Why would she say that? Is there someone out to kill her? Is that why she never takes the same appearance? Imagining someone who could threaten a person like her, is truly terrifying.
“For now, all I ask is your trust,”
Callum without a second thought said, “Okay.”
“Though I am Katolis’ god, you shouldn’t trust someone that easily. History has been twisted many times before,”
“I trust you.” Callum wasn’t stupid. Far beyond that. He was aware of the sliver she could do from the history books. She doesn’t need to use him for anything. Lady Justice simply wanted to help him and hopefully he can help her one day. Whatever she was dealing with.
“…That will be enough for today. Get some rest Callum. Another day awaits us,” The cube goes silent.
Callum sets his back on the chair. For a long time, it felt like he couldn’t move from the tough spot he was in. Full of questions, none of them answered. She had given him hope. A feeling that had become a stranger to him that began when Rayla left. He can now rest easy. But he had a frown spread across his face.
“Lady Justice… What have you gone through to feel safe in darkness?”
There was no answer even though she did hear him. Another question left unanswered but Callum was fine with leaving as it is. He now has a teacher and she has someone to talk to at last.
NOT THE MIRROR OF DARKNESS SHOWING IN THE BACKGROUND WHEN RIDDLE OVERBLOTS
The official English website has her hand on the loading screen as a reminder of her existence
A lot of people think Crowley is causing the overblots but it seems like they forget about her. Understandable since only her hand showed up for only a few seconds in the intro
Manifesting her for the Ignihyde finale I guess??? I’m not ready 😭
Ortho Dorm Uniform Personal Story, Part 3, that is on the unofficial English wiki. They mention about Schwarz Dagger who is a hero that saves the world unintentionally and hesitantly defeat an organization that hijacked the school. He has been hiding his abilities all along!
Foreshadowing for the climax of Ignihyde? Maybe.
Out of everyone, Yuu would be the most hesitant since they only came to STYX for Grim not to stop a world domination attempt and accidentally save it.
We know everyone’s unique ability but Yuu and Grim’s.
In the manga, the miner phantom had to be killed by Riddle but in the game they handled it by themselves.
Does Yuu have an AOE or something that helped the trio destroy it? A hint that they have a hidden ability?
I guess it’s what they use to help defeat Malleus in my fanfiction lol
I found the reason why no one comprehends the fact that Lilia and Malleus are much older than they look.
This Latin phrase: “Fere libenter homines id quod volunt credunt,”
It means, "Men generally believe what they want to."
Considering that Lilia has said, “Do what romans do,” who spoke Latin, it’s no surprise that one of their phrases applies to the people around him.
It also explains why Cater and Ace didn’t believe that Lilia was a General or can become terrifying at such high degree. Even Ortho thinks Lilia is a teenager, despite being a high tech android.
Though if they see it themselves, they have to comprehend it. However, it’s not good to only believe things you see yourself. There’s a high probability that you won’t like what you see. Everyone who saw Lilia on Halloween did.
