╰⟢ to help with matted fur you can use a bristle brush or a pet brush — make sure to be gentle so your new friend doesn’t lose fur !

╰⟢ if your friends fur is sherpa, gently fluff them with a regular hair brush, i use a wet brush detangler and it works well.

╰⟢ use a fabric cleaning spray or warm/lukewarm water while washing your new friend.

╰⟢ avoid hot water and don’t use the dryer ! instead, after your friend gets wet or damp, use a hair dryer on a low or medium setting.

╰⟢ check the tag for care instructions or if your friend is from a well known brand look up tutorials on how to wash them (ex. how to wash my squishmallow)

╰⟢ there are also tons of articles and videos on how to wash old stuffies from thrift stores, flea markets, antique stores etc.

╰⟢ mesh washing bags for delicates can be used to protect your friend if you run them through the washer.

╰⟢ if your new friend gets wet you must thoroughly dry them to avoid mold or mildew (yucky)

╰⟢ use nail scissors for loose threads or to clean up any pulled fur that doesn’t sit right anymore.
