tonight we made the best guacamole
I’m not the best at writing or finding the right words but just something I feel I have to say:
People keep acting like Lil Peep (Gustav Ahr) is one of the only celebrities thats died of a drug overdose. Calling him nothing but a drug addict and that he deserved it. Johnny Cash, Elvis, Janice Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Whitney Houston, Heath Ledger. Just to name a few of the classic “idols”. All these people that have been looked up to and praised over time. It’s so disgusting to see this double standard. A 21 year old boy died because he battled depression and took a laced xanax. A boy who loved his mom and his fans more than anything. With no history of abuse (Johnny Cash anyone?), a criminal record, or being an alcoholic (J. Cash again?).  I’m disgusted by the lack of empathy far too many people have shown to him and his family. Just because you do not like the way someone dresses or the music they like / create, does not give you the right to judge the worth of their life. He meant something to his family, his friends, and his fans. Drug abuse and depression are 2 huge problems in our society, I’m not saying that should be dismissed. But if you have never battled depression then you have no right to speak on the matter. If you have never battled addiction then you also have no right to speak on the matter.
Gus, we love you and we miss you. We will support you forever.Â
this is so fucking good! any loss of life is sad, at the end of the day he was a person too. all this hate and loss together is not okay.
Hurt me a little more so I can write about you.
