Progress update on a cross-stitch I designed and am sewing. Haven't been able to work on it in a few months but stoked with how it's turning out 😍✨️

Hi I'm emily! I'm a disabled artist who loves to cross-stitch. I haven't been too active on Tumblr recently but am hoping to change that and see you cuties more often 💖

Let’s be real y’all - this past month has been the absolute hardest and has pushed me into such a weird headspace. After trying to work on a few new projects but feeling ultimately unsatisfied with them, I forced myself to sit down with some scrap fabric, sew the first thing that came to mind, and accept it regardless of the flaws. It’s nice to use sewing as a way to sit quietly with the sadness and process what you’re feeling. Just keep reminding yourself that it’s okay to feel sad sometimes 💕
We’ve made habit of only sharing life’s highlights, but we all go through lows in life and it can be helpful to talk about them. My low moment of the week was when I couldn’t stand up long enough to grab lunch from the fridge let alone heat anything up (thanks to excruciating knee pain), so I sat sobbing on the floor eating (way too much) apple sauce from the jar before scooting myself across the apartment and back to the bedroom. Sewing is therapeutic for me especially when feeling so vulnerable but there was no fabric within arms reach. How fitting that the only thing around was this poem by @nicotortorella I had written out and left bedside a few weeks back. I really needed this reminder and maybe one of you did to. We all have lows, let’s talk about them more and work on loving ourselves even when it’s the hardest. Love you all and always here to listen when life is getting you down 💕💕💕
Recreated some rad art by @ladyscrain a few months ago (swipe thru to see her original & a non #hujicampic) as a happy birthday/I’m gonna miss you/love you forever and always present. Love you forever boo, thanks for your constant inspiration and support 😘
Yallll I just finished this portrait of one of one of the coolest, caring, and creative (how many more c adjectives can I include 🤔) babes I know 💕thanks so much for allowing me to recreate your profile picture Sarah, love you!
Sending this lil cutie out into the world today! #dontbeadick ✨🔮😘
