so firstone's merman character "pearl" was inspired by another merman character named "aqua" from a thai bl novel. they bought the right for that character only so they can develop new plot and other original characters for the story they want to write. ngl kudos to them for actually paying the author even if they were planning to write a different story

A few days ago I decided to finally tip my toes into Japanese BL (it has intimidated me for the longest time). So I started watching Taikan Yoho and Utsukushii Kare (both amazing, haven't finished them yet). Then tonight curiosity got the better of me and I deliberately searched for something very dark, ended up watching Dangerous Drugs of Sex (or at least 2/3s of it plus the last scene) and afterwards I just sat there crying because I was not ready for that, which I kinda knew from the start but also it was a strangely moving experience. Like I was crying because I felt sad but also happy and introspective? (honestly I'm not sure what I was feeling but emotions were definitely felt.) I will almost certainly go back and watch all of it at some point.

Anyway, Japan truly has some unique (wild) movies and shows, huh?

the problem with looking for actual crossovers is when a fandom has multiple adaptations/versions and they use multiple or all of them on fics so its hard to find if there is an actual crossover fic with another show/series.

so here I am asking if there are wangxian crossover fics you can recommend.

I like crossovers with other mxtx works or even other danmei works but im curious if there are other crossovers beyond that. even if from western shows for example a doctor who crossover? etc.

in segasaki's pov he's showing appreciation to the food yoh cooked for him when yoh forgot that segasaki told him not to bother doing so because he's going to be late and eat out😭. first thing he noticed when he got home, is that yoh prepared two placemats on the table and the scene after with yoh eating meant yoh actually waited for him to come home so they could eat together so....

idk how good the translation is but the manga-ka is saying that the 3 years was when Segasaki proposed living together but they only apparently started living for a few months. this is the reason behind yoh's reaction about the news of the rainy season, its the first rainy season they'd have living together. someone correct me if I'm wrong. I wonder what happened in between those times?
