  Vallerie was glad to hear that Lilia was having fun. Honestly, she also was glad Sam’s friends seemed to like her. She needed more friends that were girls. One would think being friends with guys would be less dramatic. It was the exact opposite for her, apparently. 

As Val finished her lap, she let out a laugh and turned to watch Lilia finish. “Wanna go through it again? No one else is waiting.”

Lilia threw hands up in victory. That was by far the greatest rush ever, the wind in your hair, going as fast as you can not having to worry about speed limits. She smiled and shook her head best thing ever. Her eyes widened i excitement. “Do I? Oh could we please? Please with a cherry on top?!”

Lilia couldn't believe her ears. "Those people exist!" Her mouth was open in pure astonishment. "How! Why? EW!"

"That's what the tattoo was for Sam." She giggled. "Thank you so much! Oh I'd die if she ever found out! Just die!"

  Val glanced behind her and grinned. “Now you’ve got it!” She sped around the track again and cheered. “Wooo hooo~!” Why did it feel so great to race? She didn’t understand it, at all. The worker waved his hands high in the air, signaling they had one lap left.

She had to admit this is was probably the best day of her life. Finally getting a friend who is a girl, and being on a race track in one day. It couldn't get any better. As she reached the second lap she screamed her head off with glee. "BEST DAY EVER!" 'How many more days until I can do this again?' She thought.

She hid her face in the menu, not looking at him.  "Yeah, she.....doesn't know....like at all."

  He looked up to her. “You’re late” He chuckled not expecting her on time “So you’ve got a tat to show me”

She laughed at his remark. "Yeah, I know, but else is knew." Lilia noticed the menu and started to look through it, until she noticed Sam was talking. "How did I forget about that." She rolled up her left sleeve to reveal to the Japanese symbol for courage on her wrist. "Whaddya think?"

  "No, no it’s alright!" Terrance assured her quickly. "They abandoned me when I was only days old. I do not know anything about them other than what the’d decided to name me." He smiled a little, trying to assure her that it really was alright. "I’ve been an orphan my entire life. I should be used to speaking of it."

"Well I can tell you, I know how it feels. I guess that's why I got so sad about it." She tried not to think about it, and decided to push all negative thoughts in the back of her mind. "Oh, look at me being all Debbie Downer."

Sam headed for the diner.  He was excited to see Lilia’s new tatoo.  He walked in and sat at the booth waiting for her.

Lilia sat in the park reading a book when she realized what time it was. "Oh no, I'm gonna be late!" Quickly she ran over to Granny's. As she walked i she saw Sam sitting in a booth by the window. Lilia waved over to him and sat down across from him. "Hey Stranger!"

  Terrance froze. What should he say? Should he tell her? Not? He didn’t want to lie… “There… um… I don’t have parents. I am an orphan.” He said. 

No matter how many times someone mistakenly assumed that he did, he always seemed to freeze up when talking about it.

Lilia's eyes widened as soon as she realized her mistake. "Oh, I'm sorry for bringing it up." She shook her head at the embarrassing realization. she always knew how hard is was not to have a parent around but, to have both gone like she did made her stomach turn. lila suddenly felt grateful to have Maia in her life. Who knows where she could have ended up if it wasn't for her.
