I know it’s an old silly shitpost that took a lore turn but also:
What are all those nobility RPers doing going out adventuring instead of taking care of their lands, people, and other responsibilities? How about all those career soldier RPers who are part of the regular Grand Company units? What about all those shopkeepers and artisans and crafters? What about -
Maybe their character has reasons for having to adventure or can’t stay with the tribe - like the M’s other recent Nunh.
Maybe they’re attending RP events for the fun of it. Maybe you’re seeing people with such names and RP info out and about playing the game in between their RP.
And just maybe, people can do what they want in a pretend video game when it’s not hurting anyone else or affecting one’s own RP in any way whatsoever, nor do you have to RP with everyone you meet.
The Nunh lore is a thing. Like not realizing how many main characters they made with white hair, the devs seem to have missed how many NPC Nunhs they put in leadership positions. And believe me, I have eyerolled at the people who have selected “Nunh” thinking it did make them automatically leaders/heirs/special in some way - mostly cuz they did Not know nor cared to learn outside of making themselves stand out. Like a lot of the naive noble or military officer RP done for similar reasons.
But this is a judgment I’ve seen seriously levied against random people with “Nunh” in their character name (which can also just pop up during chargen if using the randomizer!) because it’s noticeable when running around without clicking on or looking at anything else.
