Aww thanks! There’s quite a few board artists and anim industry people who still use tumblr, but it’s definitely fallen out in favor of… twitter? bluesky? I don’t know where people are these days really.

It is time for Art Summary 2020, given I absolutely will not be making anything new in December!

This year had a couple unexpected surprises, the biggest being landing a full-time storyboard position at a major animation studio exactly 365 days after seriously starting my job search in 2021. That job lasted me eight months (on the longer end of things when it comes to animation) and was apparently the most difficult season on one of the most demanding shows the industry has to offer, as told to me by industry veterans who were on the crew. Given it was my first animation job ever and that I was the sole member of the story department for the last two weeks of it, I’d say I weathered that surprisingly well all things considered. It did however result in me having NO time or energy to work on any of my own art at all.

I started work on my new job as of last month. Still haven’t really had any time to draw for myself, but it seems calmer than the first gig so far so perhaps I’ll be putting pen to paper pretty soon and finishing this Transformers comic I started at the beginning of the year.

Just as a heads up, I have an entirely separate main blog that I’m active on 90% of the time and really only open this one to post stuff, it may take me forever to see or reply to something on here!
