      “It can keep rain out?” Signs that Yuuto was not born for camping: This. He had bought the tent thinking it would only keep wild Pokemon out. This was news, and he was glad to hear that his belongings could stay dry.

       He walked closer, nodding to each of her instructions. At first, he had not been too interested in learning to set the tent up perfectly. But now, having discovered it was almost a puzzle, it felt more like a game to him. Like a child, his attention was snatched by the prospect of having fun.

      “Do you camp often? You haven’t even looked at the manual once, but you already know what to do.”

“Oh I used to camp all the time when I was growing up. We would take trips all the time to Kalos to go camping with my family there! These tents are meant to be really quickly put together and torn apart. That’s why they’re marketed to those taking on the pokemon gym challenge. I’ve already set mine up and taken it down at least a dozen times.” 

She grabbed the poles and started putting them together. humming a soft tune to herself as she did. it probably wasn’t one Yuuto had heard before as Lilly often made her own music for contests. After a moment or two she looked at Yuuto. Trying to size him up, a little glint of curiosity at the strange boy who didn’t seem to have any survival skills in the slightest. 

“So, what do you think so far, easy enough?”

Despite wanting to disappear Lilly could very much see Yuuto and he’d just be an embarrassing lump covered in fabric. I don’t camp often was an understatement from what she saw.

“Well for starters, I think the tent is inside out how’d you manage that huh?”  First, extract Yuuto from the tangle of the fabric, second, make sure he even had all the parts.  “So is this new? do you have everything you need to set it up?” Speaking calmly she started to help with the fabric. Of course she was trying her best to stay serious and hide her smile.

    “Inside-out?!” Yuuto gasped, “But– Isn’t this the better colour?”

       His tent was supposed to be a deep blue Water-type tent, but the inside part was a softer shade. He preferred the light blue, so hearing that was the wrong colour did bring disappointment.

    “Yes, it’s new… I bought it yesterday.” After burning holes in his previous tent. Yuuto knew better than to admit to that much. “I don’t think I’ve lost any of the pieces, but there are so many of them.”

“Well if it’s the better color wouldn’t you rather look at it while you’re trying to sleep?”  Step one success, Lilly had extracted Yuuto and swapping the tent to the proper orientation she pointed out the guides for the poles. after separating all the parts she pointed out some things for Yuuto in the future. 

“So the reason That you can tell it’s inside out is there were no guides for the poles. And no lines to make the sides taut with stakes. You gotta do that or rain will get in when it flops and hits the tarp. right?”

She gestured to each of the things she was talking about as she mentioned them. First the tent pole guides, then the guides for the stakes and finally the rain tarp. She still had her gentle smile, the laughter now fully under control.

So I need to work on interacting more and getting my muses out there. If anyone sounds interesting lemme know with a message or something. Or like for a random muse.

@superiorfirepower - Liam Tine, a generic Trainer™ who’s also a pretty good chef.

@lillypadtine - Lillian Tine, Liam’s cousin, she’s more interested in contests than battles but sees the Galar league as a chance for her to gain some renown and popularity.

@caretaker-dexter - Dexter King , Pokemon breeder who has some pretty big social anxiety when humans are involved. He would much rather hang out with the pokemon he raises for battling trainers than deal with the trainers himself. 

@silxntium - Burned Ex operative in the Pokemon universe. He’ll help people, for a price, and has a strong sense of morals. Those same morals are what got him in trouble to begin with. ((Basically I watched a bunch of burn notice and thought that a character who was chaotic good as heck would be fun.))

Tell me about your plans for the future?

My current plans for the future are making it through Galar to gain more experience ( and popularity) with the gym challenge! Afterwards, I’ll be looking to go back on the contest routes or trying another showcase.

Tell me why we should love contests.

Well, I can’t really make you love contests. I just know that I love them because they’re different than battles. When you go into a battle it’s about your ability to overpower your opponent. Or out-think them in a way that traps them in a corner where they’ve already lost. There’s much more creative freedom when it comes to contests. Combining moves and working side by side to move the crowd's emotion. It’s just absolutely magical!

Little known fact about camping? Camping is easy! Lilly had recently gotten her own camping set and was looking forward to trying it out. Her family used to camp alot. The girl hadn’t camped out in quite awhile. Not since she’d been so focused on her participating in contests in Hoenn, and then Showcases in Kalos.

Some people did not have the same experience camping that Lilly had. For instance, a young boy sitting amid a mess of tarp and poles. She’d stumbled across him making her way through the wild area. She hadn’t decided quite what to do yet. “Hi there. I’m Lilly , Lilly Tine. By the looks of it you are having trouble. Would you like some help?”

         By the looks of it? He wanted to cover his head with the tent. Did he really look that clueless?

      “I… could use the extra set of hands, yeah.” And someone who actually knew what they were doing. Though Yuuto had all of the tent’s pieces laid out in front of him and the manual in his hands, it still intimidated him.

      “Yuuto Yumeno. I don’t camp often.” Not well, anyway. Normally he gave up and slept under the tent like a giant blanket. Yuuto was hardy, if not a bit stupid as well.

    “… I don’t understand.” He whined, “It would be easier to use my powers than to use all of these poles. Do humans really consider this convenient?”

       Maybe he would use the tent as a blanket again, and call it a night.

Lilly doesn’t really know how many kids she wants to have yet, two, three? maybe four or five! WHO KNOWS! let the dice fall where they will and let the world take her where it takes her. She’s just out for an adventure no matter what that adventure ends up being.

Exhaustion

Depends on who she's with. Those she's close to she's liable to be complaining especially if they're the reason she's still awake or working or whatever has caused the exhaustion. However, when it comes to self imposed exhaustion she's quite composed and bites her tongue the only real giveaway is the bags under her eyes.
