I know I already made a post to this effect but it's so baffling to me when someone defends the fact that headphone jacks are slowly but surely getting phased out by smartphone manufacturers with some variations of "wireless headphones are more convenient anyway" bc like. If we're talking about convenience what I like about wired headphones is that they conveniently have a single plug that makes the same damn pair of headphones universally compatible with every single audio-output-capable device I own, from my phone and my computer to my fucking gameboy and my casette player, it doesn't get any more convenient than that.

Oh, you can borrow my Bluetooth headphones. Yeah, just turn them on then um, hold it in the up position whilst pressing the volume button? I think. No, you have to turn them off and try again; they've connected to my phone. Oh, maybe if I turn Bluetooth off on my phone and you turn the headphones on again. That should put them in pairing mode. Then you need to use your Bluetooth menu and select NEOGN357BEBCJ499SNFJ. Yeah, that's the name of the device. Just remember to unpair them again when you're done. No, I don't know how to do that; you should know - it's your phone.

Ya now the problem is that so many people that can't afford bluetooth headphones just play music or watch tik tocs or play fucking phone games with the sound on in public places. Like on the bus. In restaurants. In public bathrooms.
