Rose stared hard at her open door, as if it had personally mocked her. Her hands itched to slam it shut. The satisfying, reverberating crack it would send through the building would almost be worth the floor maidenâs shrieking.Â
She huffed and glanced around her barren room. The bed frame touched the perfectly tiled white floors it was secured to with some sort of spell Rose could not counteract - at least not without her wand. A single four-legged table (also spelled to the floor) sat in the corner, with four tight outfits resting neatly folded on top. The room was perfectly designed for itâs occupant to have nowhere to hide even a knut.Â
Rose carefully raised herself off her bed and walked out of her room, barefoot, heading into the lobby of the hallway she now lived on. âI would like to write a few letters.â She told the floor maiden, keeping her tone level. The witch looked her up and down suspiciously.Â
âYour parents have asked that you do not write letters to any of your friends.â she told her, as  she had twice the day before. Rose bit her lip to keep a nasty reply leaving her mouth.
âI understand, maâam, however if the letters are checked, you would know I am writing to my cousins. You can even double check with Mr. Weasley and The Minister if youâd like.â she told the woman through gritted teeth. Again, the floor maiden gave her a suspicious look before reluctantly snatching parchment and a rather dull quill. Â
âBe quick.â She told her as she walked to a nearby table, thanking the stars she had convinced this harpy of a woman finally. It was the first letter she had written since she had been pulled out of the Great Hall in front of the entire school the morning after her OWLS, taken from the school and thrown into this place.
I do hope this gets to you, if it is allowed to be sent. You better be damn worried sick about me or I will be highly offended. Mr. Weasley and the Minister have been hushing it all up, havenât they? Hugo told me theyâre pretending I donât exist. Wonderful isnât it? I canât tell you where I am or why, or this certainly wonât find you, so do not ask. All I will say is that this is certainly a program that sprung up in the post war terror of dark wizards, and I have been put here because Mr. Weasley and the Minister must have lost their damn minds.
I hope you are doing well. Iâm not sure if I can come back to Hogwarts, if Iâll be allowed to. My letter was taken from me, but we can keep our fingers crossed, no?Â
Lily widened her eyes at the letter- how and why? She gulped as she started to write a letter in respone to her her cousin. Poor Rosie.
I miss you. A lot. I have been asking everyone for you- no answers given. Nothingâs the same without you. How did this happened?
Promise me youâll write me if you can? I want to make sure youâre alrigth every one in a while?Â
Cause, gurl- you scared the hell out of me. Nobody ever tells me anything but this is absurd!
I hope youâre alrigth. Iâm going to do my best and get you out of there- whatever this hell is. I wonât ever forget you. Okay? Okay.
