this isnt a complaint but i went onto that rp that you posted that wasnt in the tags yet and im excited!! i like that there are not only strict rules about using poc & bipoc fcs but also to encourage more nonbinary and trans muses. i do hope that it does well once it opens.

i think they just opened applications today! i’m so excited to see how it goes, it looks really great.

groups have closed and the guilty writers have been spoken to or “called out”. there is nothing else i can do at this point for those writers that would be substantial. 

if there are more serious concerns about the writers or the groups, those will gladly be posted. otherwise, i will no longer be posting anons in support of or condemning the previous groups mentioned on this blog. the groups have closed, the writers are made aware of their wrongdoings. it is up to them to learn and make changes on their own. 

as i’ve mentioned many times, i want this blog to be a place where those who feel they are underrepresented in multifandom rp can come as a safe place to voice their opinions. by continuing to post things revolving around groups that have closed down or writers who claim they are leaving the rp scene, i am potentially putting those comfortable here right in the path of those hostile members or writers.

again, if something substantial happens by all means concerning these groups i will post it. until then, i will be focusing on helping those who may be worried to speak up publicly.

the names of the characters were from the pages of hqeverwell, which were and are still available to anyone who would like to look at them. i was not in the group at the time this went down, so my muses are not on the list.

and again, the muns who played the characters listed had engaged in pedophilia, racism, homophobia and ableism. i don’t see a problem in steering people away from that.

who did you play when you were in everwell? How did you prove you weren't the assumed mun, because I don't remember seeing anything on this page to prove it, if there is, I apologise. Just a genuine question.

due to receiving slurs and death threats in my inbox, i don’t feel comfort disclosing 100% who i am. i think that’s understandable. and the fact of the matter is that you’re going to believe what you choose. if you think i’m a certain mun, you’re going to believe that regardless. the conversation may have taken place privately now that i think about it, but it was with silk and we discussed that i was not the mun they assumed.

i was in everwell months ago and left before i even had substantial plots with anyone because i felt unwelcomed.

what characters do you think i played that you want me to apologize for? we’ve established that i’m not the mun people assumed days ago.

Breaking News! Scientists say the world will end on September 17th.

Every major news outlet had some variation of this headline posted across their papers, tabloids, magazines, etc. No one believed it though, it was just another 2012 conspiracy — or so people thought. People went about their days and nights as normal. Except when September 17th came and went, only some people awoke the next day. They weren’t sure what town they were in or how they’d gotten there. But one thing was certain, they certainly weren’t home anymore.

Characters from all across the universe now inhibited the town of ???. All that they had with them was one suitcase of their clothes and belongings, a cellphone that was completely wiped, and directions to their new residency.

basically!! characters will be sorted into houses of 12 and given a respective job at the beginning of the rp by the admins. Each house will have its own groupchat which i hope will encourage out of fandom interactions as well. The plot would be driven by plot drops every other week or so! If anyone has any suggestions or anything or wants to help pls let me know!

re: anon about rolehogging. okay sure admins can play whoever they want, but it does set a precedent for the group that would then need to be followed. the problem isn't just that they're playing six stranger things characters when most groups limit the number of characters you can play from a fabdom?? it's that they're also playing characters who are FRIENDS? playing mike/lucas at the same time is weird even if they fought? like the equivalent of that would be me playing tony stark/steve rogers bc oh— they fought during civil war ? or, me playing bruce wayne/clark kent because they don't get along in the movie adaptations? like it's just weird, and people have the right to dislike things and call them out, esp when people see that the admins aren't reacting to criticisms and (instead of trying to reach common ground with the community and seek accountability for where they fucked up) just turned their inbox off.

like the other anon, i completely understand what is going on here & why people feel safe coming here. i would also feel safe if i was having a horrible experience in an rp, coming here, because you support me. however, i do any people to believe that these admins ARE people. people DO make mistakes. i am not here to condone anything that happened in havenfall or everwell, AT ALL. i don't condone anything they are doing & i have left both of them because of not feeling comfortable (1/2)

but by tagging the main & calling them out in multiple posts back to back, isn't going to solve anything. i don't think many people who haven't adminned before, understand the stress that admins do go under. underaged faceclaims need to be talked about to members using them. admins need time to meet together in order to put out a formal statement of apology, and sometimes it's not easy to do that in the span of 24-48 hours as life happens. that's all my input! again, i do NOT condone them! you're right, anon! the admins are people, and people do make mistakes. one hundred percent. however, tagging the blog starts a conversation with the admins. they are able to see what their members are complaining about, and typically they will message me for more information or advice. i have run a group of my own before so i know what stressors there are. yes, i have tagged blogs multiple times. yes, i have posted anons asking why the groups have not responded yet. i answer anon messages as they are received. if i am active and receive the message, i will answer and post it. if i am not online, the message will not be read or posted. in no way do i post multiple things at once to bombard a group or try to force them to speak. members or admins will come as they wish if they want to say something.

no sorry i just don't understand this idea that it's somehow your fault rps are closing. rps aren't closing because of you posting about them, they're closing because admins don't want to own up and take accountability.

anyone at anytime is allowed to make complaints or voice their concerns. doing this does not mean that you yourself are forcing the group to close, and i hate that this is the narrative so many are going with.

role hogging complaints are so dumb, imo. if admins work hard on a group they have every right to play whatever characters they want. start your own rp if you want to play a taken character. also, the point of these blogs are 100% to get groups to close. you're encouraging a narrative where people can get hate anonymously online. it's a role play GAME. just for fun, not that deep. admins are allowed to have fun too and play characters they love. i understand issues with poc representation (although nearly half the havenfall characters were poc) and barely legal fcs, but how about bringing this to admins attention privately? say you're uncomfortable with it, etc. start a direct dialogue instead of anonymously taking them down online so that hate builds and builds. anonymous and public complaints are not the way to encourage change in groups.

sure, the admins are more than welcome to play whoever they want to! however, when they're not following their own rule of role-hogging, that's when it gets a little trickier. i say, do a private server with some friends if you want to play an excessive amount of characters from one fandom. if not, what's stopping another member from playing, say, six more characters from stranger things?

i've said it before and i'll continue saying it: the purpose of this blog is not to get groups to close. you can believe what you wish about this blog and even about myself, but i know my intentions, and i have made them known to everyone who views my blog. i've gotten countless anons from members saying they have gone to admins in private, and nothing has been done. when nothing is done over and over and you've had the conversation in private, why would it be wrong to have the conversation in public?

and again, if a group is knowingly doing problematic things, not following their own rules, or making members feel unwelcome, yes i will say something publicly for those members who come to me. i will not apologize for that. in fact, each group that has been mentioned on this blog has thanked me for bringing up these issues and stated that they will be making changes and fixing the problems. so, i do think that this is one way of encouraging change. thank you!
