Giulio Aristide Sartorio.
There is no way to perform architecture in a book. Words and drawings can only produce paper space, not the experience of real space.
Bernard Tschumi’s Advertisements for Architecture (1976-77) is “a series of 16 postcard-sized juxtaposition of words and images” in which the French architect explores the possibility of using the language and format of print advertising to instill in the audience a desire for experiencing Architecture beyond its two-dimensional paper representation, much in the same way products advertisements operate.
No matter how pornographic a movie it can’t be as obscene as a couple in love. If love is something human obscenity too is something human. Lawrence, Miller, Rodin, Picasso, Utamaro, the Manyō poets: were they ever afraid of obscenity? It is not a movie that is obscene we are the ones basically obscene warmly, gently, vigorously, and with such ugliness and shame – we are obscene days and nights obscene with nothing else, obscene.
