I love that we get to see how different Xena and Gabrielle are as fighters. Xena seems to take great enjoyment in the fight and seems to toy with her food whereas Gabrielle is more serious and tries to dispatch her opponents as quick as possible.

“My hand. In marriage. And all of its associated benefits. And you should know – I wouldn’t offer if I didn’t mean it.”
Korra is just such a perfect example of the millennial experience. No other show even comes close. Star Wars? Lord of the Rings? Jurassic Park? Harry Potter? Even though they had sequels that were decades apart the heroes had to deal with pretty much the same shit. But Korra? We see that even though she exists just a few decades after Aang she lives in a vastly different world. Aang started with steam power while Korra has to deal with spirit energy powered mechs, airplanes. Aang had to deal with disapproval of a few villages Korra had to deal with international press. Aang had to deal with one chi blocker, Korra had to deal with a whole army, Aang had to deal with one spirit Korra had to deal again with a whole army including the greatest chaotic spirit that ever lived. Aang had to deal with one two exotic benders a combustion bender and a blood bender. Korra had to deal with a combustion bender, a lava bender, gazzilion metal benders, two bloodbenders, Aang had to deal with one enemy aka the Fire Nation, Korra had to deal with had to deal with terrorists,a civil war, terrorists again and the entire Earth Empire under Kuvira and so on and so on.
It’s like they both acknowledge that Aang’s generation went through something incredibly difficult and are heroes for defeat but also shows that Korra lives in a generation where everything is much more complicated and is under a lot more pressure and one where she had to deal with the consequences of what old people did to the world Also she is super bi
preaching this raava holy fuck
Been saying that for a while.
There appeared to be more than a few people, when the show was airing, who didn’t seem to get that.
The books also show the massive disparity between the Avatars and who has to deal with what situation or world state in their era. I’ll come back to this when I have the energy, it’s really interesting.
Thank you for everything, Toriyama.
so embarrassing when i forget im checking someone's blog and i start scrolling through and liking and reblogging shit as if it's just my dash. it feels like wandering into someone else's apartment and not noticing and making myself lunch
reblog if i can wander into your apartment (blog) and make myself lunch (like and reblog as if it's my dash)

Is this, like a date?
I hope so, or else I’m wasting a whole lot of lip gloss right now.
