Jessica Drenk is able to compose nature-like objects out of everyday, manufactured material. Implements is series of sculptures made entirely out of anywhere between 1,200-4,000 pencils. After being glued together Jessica applies a belt sander among other power tools before finishing each piece by hand. Her interests in archaeology, paleontology, biology, botany, and geology are highlighted in her sculptures.
