❀ you’re not from around here , are you? i figured because you totally just missed { DERYA ARSLAN } walking by. don’t tell me you don’t know who { SHE } is? they kind of look like { HANDE ERCEL } and i could be wrong but i think that they might be { 26 } years old right now. they’ve been living in palmview for the last { one year }. and i don’t know if anyone has ever told them this before but they kind of remind me of { BLAIR CORNELIA WALDORF } from { GOSSIP GIRL }. if you stick around the town long enough you might catch them in action working at { ARSLAN COUTURE } as a { MODEL/DESIGNER/SOCIALITE }. you see this town isn’t really that big of a place, some folks like to call them the { FEMME FATALE } of palmview! they took a liking to the name too after a while, go figure. oh crap, they must have heard me yapping. they’re coming this way. i got to warn you though, rumor has it they can pretty { MANIPULATIVE } at times. i wouldn’t take it too seriously though, from the times i’ve spoken to them they seemed pretty { AMBITIOUS } to me. we see each other all the time since they live in that { 3 BEDROOMS } residence beside me over in { PELICAN STREET / # 243 }. i better leave you to it. it was nice meeting you!

"i think i'm gonna live here forever," stella mumbled, her legs buried under a sufficient layer of sand as she let her hair fall back against the towel she'd positioned under her head. her eyes were closed, and the gentle smile on her face proved that she was at her most relaxed state, and that time had become all but irrelevant the moment she hit the sand. she opened one eye, grinning up at the other person, then down towards her legs. "i'm like a little crab in the sand."

"With enough shade and champagne, I mean -- knock yourself out." Derya raised one eyebrow as she looked towards Stella, with herself hidden underneath a sunshade big enough to cover every inch of her body. While warm and comforting, Derya usually didn't dare to tan, knowing it'd age her skin over time. Instead, she enjoyed the shade and dug her toes into the cool sand, playing with it every now and then. "there are enough people wearing neon bikinis, which are so outdated, I can't be bothered to find us anyone willing enough to fetch us another drink." Derya smirked at Stella before taking another peek at the few men walking past, with one wearing a thong of sorts. "an ass white enough to blind me, thank God I'm wearing sunglasses. Wanna grab something to drink soon? I'm not really in the mood to talk business tonight."

“  you're  up  early,  ”  spencer  observes  with  a  huff,  taking  a  swig  from  his  water  bottle  as  he  stops  by  a  familiar  face  during  his  morning  jog.  spencer  wasn't  a  morning  person  by  any  means,  but  this  was  the  only  time  he  could  get  some  exercise  in  before  his  shifts  at  the  hospital.  he  glances  at  his  apple  watch,  then  looks  up  at  the  other  again  with  an  exhausted  smile.  “  what's  got  you  awake  at this  time  of  day?  ”

She'd been aimlessly walking around for some time, just soaking in the first rays of sunshine as the sun rose above them. Truth be told Derya herself wasn't all that sure, either. Early bird gets the worm and all that would've been the easier, more satisfying answer to keep her image alive. Yet, a part of her struggled to keep lying. Deflecting, it is. "If Vitamin D's the only D I might be getting tonight, then I'm at least starting early," she half-joked with a slight smirk. "And you? Trying to run off some excess energy?"

the conversation had been going well enough that genevieve almost didn't notice the music change. almost. the second the opening notes drifts through the dance hall speakers, however, her attention snaps toward the dance floor, recognition immediately lighting up her features. " oh, my god! " she laughs, shaking her head as if she can't quite believe her luck. of all the country songs that could come up next, it just had to be one of her favorites. glancing back at the person she's been talking to, she points toward the crowd already beginning to form in the middle of the dance floor. " okay, i'm sorry, but this is completely non-negotiable. " setting her drink down on the nearest table before she could accidentally spill it in her excitement, genevieve extends a hand in their direction, her smile bright and entirely too confident for someone who clearly isn't taking no for an answer. " one song. three minutes, max. if you're not having fun by the end of it, i'll personally buy your next drink. " tilting her head, she gives their hand a pointed look before meeting their gaze again. " and before you tell me you don't dance, just know i've heard every excuse in the book and none of them have ever worked on me."

True horror suddenly etched her face. While the conversation seemed harmless enough, with Derya not really getting into too much detail about anything, just to keep Genevieve at a comfortable distance, she couldn't help but huff at the sudden excitement from the ot her. Over country music, of all things. This couldn't be happening. Derya instinctively folded her arms together, almost immediately unfolding them again in fear she'd wrinkle her dress if she didn't. Her perfectly manicured persona seemed to slip, with each new beat and plead of hers forcing Derya towards the dancefloor. So, slightly reluctant but with a slight smile and eyeroll, Derya followed the other woman's lead. "I'm too many drinks in to say no now, count yourself lucky." As if she wasn't desperate for a friend and actually found the other charming enough to keep that dream alive. Swaying to the rhythm and guitar, Derya gently let herself get pulled closer by Genevieve, taking her hand in the process. "You better warn me if anyone looks at us funny," her dance moves were solid, but clearly didn't fit to country. Still, she began to smile, laugh even, at the thought of dancing to country music. "That's what you love? Country and unrestrained fun? If anyone asks what happened: you blackmailed me into dancing or else you'd force me to wear cowboy boots !"

tw: mental illness, insecurity, manipulation Heiress to Arslan Couture, she was brought up to value hard work and hard play. With her mother being an inspiration and her role model from a very young age, she mimicked her mother's every move, religiously following everything she preached, for a while. Life as always been some kind of dream, a picture perfect family rising even higher among those in the fashion industry. Of course Derya got spoiled rotten. Fancy dinners, the newest fashion and layers upon layers of paper thin money at such a young age. She knew about the power of manipulation, about how easy it was for her parents to cave to a stubborn child, demanding child, ready to explore the world on her own, to make her shut it with just the right amount of cash, the right toy, the most sparkly jewelry. Rotten to the core, like an apple, she enjoyed the attention and ability to guide others, bend them to her will, albeit by being all but good.

Scandalous teenage years followed, with money opening more doors than she can shut, forcing Derya into situations she herself hadn't anticipated. Sabotaging a rival with blackmail turned her mother's own show on its head, with paparazzi gaining access to data linked to the scandal, and the bitter revelation of her rival's tax fraud. Nothing an affair with a politician couldn't fix, but Derya revealed that, too. One stab too much. Rightfully, it blew up in her face.

She vanished for six months without a trace, instead of addressing the allegations, Derya returned being so much more deadly. To control the narrative, Derya decided not to let herself get carried away. So when she she revealed snippets of a very swift, steamy relationship every now and then on Instagram, with public appearances including screaming matches and them making up again, paparazzi quickly moved on from one scandal, to focus on something that'd sell soo much better: Derya's love affair with her rival's man, ready to lose a fortune, his reputation, to be with her.

A public stunt, laced with poison. She'd have him follow her like a dog, with herself hiding her own insecurities behind each new smile, each new snapshot, each new design. She'd have to control herself, the masses, to eventually take over Arslan Couture.

she allegedly rewatches old footage of her on certain events, just to look at her composure and mannerisms, hoping to learn and change.

once left a party with a married man, the scandal spread like a wildfire, resulting in him divorcing and leaving palmview grove shortly after. Nobody knows what happened, exactly.
