i’m so fucking happy

i’ll try and keep this as brief as possible.

when i first came across tumblr as an rp platform back in mid-late 2014, i stumbled over countless muses because i could never really stick with one; could never really put myself in their shoes for more than a few months at best. it’s always been that way for me, for better or worse. but anduin? when i first started writing for him in early 2016, i had no idea it would spark this amazingly passionate love for a single character - but it most certainly did. that passion inspired me to do much, from what others described as beautiful works of art to what others deemed questionable and irrational behavior. either way, i had found my place for a time, and i was happy.

in case it wasn’t obvious, i’m no longer happy; and so it seems that time has passed.

so yeah. kinda done with tumblr; for like, the fifth time, i know, but i do mean it this time. it’s really nothing new: the same old predicament that is trying to interact with a community that has absolutely no issue excommunicating whoever they deem fit to crucify via their own warped logic and double standards. it would have been fine if i still had my own circle of blogs to interact with - and for a time, i did - but everyone once a part of that circle has since ceased their own activity on this website, be it because they themselves were harassed and/or fed up with the drama circlejerk or their interest in either the game or the rp platform (or both) diminished to such a point. i can count on one hand the amount of people i still interact with on tumblr, so in my eyes, remaining here just really isn’t worth it.

this by itself has been the reason i’ve “quit” numerous times before; but now it’s coupled with a sudden disinterest in WoW as well. from the false promises and unenjoyable content to the frustratingly aimless and vapid direction of the story (and believe me, i had high hopes when i heard christie golden was coming on board full-time, but they’ve since fallen flat), i’ve actually fallen out of love with this game after over 6 years of passion. that being said, i’m still subscribed, and i still play every now and again, but i’m not nearly as enthusiastic about WoW as i used to be. i look at this game now and i actually get... frustrated?? frustrated because of all the drama i’ve had to deal with over the years, both within and outside of the game. frustrated because of the state of something i once prioritized over so much else. frustrated because the spark that kept me going all this time is near-death.

i’ve been trying to find other passions to fill the void for the time being. haven’t been particularly successful just yet, but while i may continue to play and pay attention to the future developments of BfA and WoW as a whole, i’m not going to do that here. i have no reason to, and it would do me more harm than good, so that’s that.

those of you who have read (and are still reading) this have my utmost sincerity when i say i can’t express the depths of my gratitude for the experience here that you alone made possible, been they over months or years. if you still want to stay in touch, i’m willing to dispense my discord info via IM over the next few days or so. like last time, i think i’m going to leave this blog (and the archive) up, just because i like the url too much; and of course, just in case i do ever return here, though i find that to be a highly unlikely possibility, personally. for now, i’m ready to walk my own path, wherever that might lead.

Hi personals! I see that you’re following a rp blog. That’s cool! Thanks for joining us! Here are just a couple of pointers for you when it comes to rp / some things you probably need to know about rping!

FIRST OF ALL:

Read! The! Rules! More often than not a mun will have a statement on how they feel about personals. Most are cool but a certain few of them have just had bad experiences with personals and you’ll get blocked. You’d save yourself a lot of time and energy by checking the rules first!

LINGO:

Mun = mundane! This is the writer behind the blog. Indie = independent, not affiliated with an RPG! RPG = role play group! Muse = the character they’re playing!  OC = original character! Canon character = a character that appears in a canon piece of work, a book, tv show, movie, musical etc. “I have muse for” = this is a character I could see myself playing! OOC = out of character! IC = in character! Meme = askbox meme, usually reserved for other rpers or character anons, unless they’re questions! Godmod = when someone takes another character’s actions and make them do something that the character didn’t do with the mun’s permission. (ie = if I were playing a character named Hazel and she was talking to a character named Nathaniel, I can’t go ‘Nathaniel punches Hazel in the face’.)

ON PERSONAL POSTS:

These are usually marked in tags as ‘mun’ or some form of ‘ooc’! We, as rpers, ask that you DO NOT REBLOG these posts unless we explicitly say so. Some rpers are a lot cooler about this concept, but most really don’t like it becuase IF the post gets a lot of notes we can’t see the replies we owe. It’s best to just NOT REBLOG AN OOC POST unless we explicitly say so (ie = ‘ok to reblog’ or some sort of indication in the tags or post itself!).

ON RP POSTS / ASK RESPONSES:

Don’t reblog interaction posts; it messes with the activity and the notes of a thread. if you like reading an interaction, feel free to enjoy reading, but just don’t reblog threads if you aren’t involved in it. Some people will allow you to like the interactions, those will be in the rules as well! When you send it, don’t rush the muns. Roleplayers have lives and there’s only 24 hours a day, whether it be work or school, rp isn’t a job. Rp is supposed to be a hobby, so don’t rush people to reply to things since it’s not fair to them to have something that’s supposed to be fun be ruined by other people.

ON SENDING ANONS:

I can personally say I love getting anons asking about my characters! I very often find myself asking for people to send questions to or about my character. There are certain things that are absolutely OFF LIMITS to some muns or muses, though. Going back to my first point, these things can be found in the rules. But here are a couple of other things to keep in mind.

                - ALWAYS ASK THE MUN FIRST.                                   (you can’t go wrong in simply asking the mun / mod of the blog if they’re okay with a certain topic and you’ll always get an answer!) – this also goes for other muns you want to include in the ask. like much things in life, consent is key!

                - JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE AN ANON DOES NOT MEAN YOU’RE GOD.                                     (don’t godmod! don’t do it. that’s disrespectful to the writer. don’t even think about it.)

                     AND REMEMBER, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, ALWAYS ASK. RP blogs, if you want to reblog and add something feel free to! And you can always send this blog an ask if I’ve made anything unclear!

    She’s silent as her hand finds his, perhaps he may find the whispered words unfortunate but she knew she was fortunate to have him in her life.  “ I can only imagine what it’s like being called a call boy, I’m … sorry for them - it’s mostly teasing, I promise.”

     “no need to apologize for words that aren’t yours. i shouldn’t be surprised, really... kul tiras isn’t historically fond of ‘horde sympathizers’, as i’ve heard.” much as he sought to refute the claim, it was true that anduin sympathized with the horde; at least, the portion of it which did not presently will DEVASTATION upon the whole of azeroth, and that portion seemed to be growing smaller in size with each passing day.

     “and i’m sure they’ll listen. your people... seem to hold you in high esteem, if what i’ve heard is any indication.” unfortunate, anduin thought, that the same could not be said for his own subjects. internal affairs had proven otherwise as of late.

     “...i see.” he couldn’t bear to tell whose visage was more flushed at the moment. “w-well then. that would be... an unfortunate misconception, now wouldn’t it?...”

    “ King Wrynn, is there something I can do for you ?”

     “yes, actually. i’ve, erm... heard mutterings amidst boralus. the kul tirans have been referring to me as your ‘call boy’. any idea what that means, exactly?”

A melanistic Razorbeak gryphon kitten walks up to Anduin and yowls up at him, before climbing up his leg to his shoulder and curling on on him.

     although not as fond of their ilk as some - namely flightmasters and wildhammer dwarves - anduin welcomed the presence of a fledgling, lenity EXUDED towards the young beast. one gloved hand rose to grace its scalp with a gentle touch and finesse, the likes of which was most commonly on display around those as tender as himself. only a handful of years ago had anduin been an adolescent himself; although his upbringing had proven to be far from serene in nature. nevertheless, he tended to those he could in the hopes that they would never have to ENDURE what he had. anduin could only hope for the best; for others - and for the world around him - if not himself.

She remains silent as her fingers entwine with the King's, and a peck on the cheek for luck!

     a gentle hum followed the gesture, warmth flowing between the two bodies of flesh and blood as it would a pair of stars amidst a backdrop of night. while intimate himself, anduin seldom was able to experience reciprocation of any sort; not when pang after pang of DISILLUSION grazed his heart at the actions of would-be comrades and advisors. taelia was something else, however. they hardly knew eachother, and yet it felt as though they’d known eachother for years. between the king and the ward was there not a sliver of ANIMOSITY, and it was this fact which solidified the comfort her presence bestowed unto anduin’s spirit.

     her actions nurtured a blushing smile - a rarity in times of war, distress and AGGRAVATION - which soon blossomed into another kiss. in a swift and fleeting moment did his lips embrace her own; and as he drew away, that devious, coquettish glimmer surfaced in both eyes. well-aware of his intentions and the effects his actions engendered, the priest pivoted on one foot and departed at a mellow pace, hips swaying with a PROVOCATIVE passion all the while.
