Just got new pics made! This one is my Woven Chair, version without arms. This a continuation of the Woven pieces made for @kvadrattextiles My Canvas exhibition. I presented the chair version for the first time last June @edit.napoli. Revisiting some older work: a version of an iconic Mexican Equipal(e) chair I made in San Miguel de Allende. Equipales are a really unique chair typology, and likely come from a pre-European Aztec design...maybe 700 years old. I like the rustic-ness of the original version. Mine is more modern, with help from a 50mm hole punch I found at the leather market in León. I had some great help from local craftsmen to get them made.
