New Perfume: Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture
Okay, so I never really LOVED LOVED this perfume. I've always been more drawn to Viva La Juicy Noir and Peace, Love and Juicy.
However, the opportunity came up for me to trade a perfume I never used for this lovely scent, so I took it.
Sure I don't ever pick it up in Sephora when it's next to it's better smelling companions, but it is a light fresh scent. A tad floral for my usual tastes, but I find that it is rather sophisticated.
Pretty happy with the scent. Although it doesn't hold a candle to my all time favourite, Our Moment.
Looking to try some new scents, but we'll see!

More Empties: Oral Care
I guess this isn't really a beauty empties post but more of an oral care/what I use in my bathroom.
So we have a toothpaste: Colgate Optic White.
I really liked this toothpaste! And it was actually quite whitening, which was nice. I used it all up. I haven't repurchased it because I still have some toothpaste at home but once we run out I will go back and buy this again!
Mouthwash: Listerine Green Tea
I've always found that Listerine mouthwash is the most effective, however I never enjoyed how it was always too minty. Like, super harsh in terms of intensity.
So I got this to try.
First things first: it tastes NOTHING like green tea. It tastes like cherry cough drops.
To me at least.
Still, other than the fact that it tastes nothing like it says, I liked it. It feels fresh and clean without the super intense feeling.
I have already repurchased a big bottle of this and have been using it religiously!

Pressed Powder got a revamp?
So, a while back Lipstick introduced this powder to me and it has pretty much been the only pressed powder I've used since.
It's cheap and nice and actually has a colour to match my skin tone.
Oddly enough, this is the only powder where Lipstick and I are in the same shade.
Anyway, on my recent trip out to the pharmacy/drugstore, I found that they've revamped the powder. It is now a BB-control oil powder.
I've bought it in the same shade as my old powder.
I'll let you guys know if there's any difference once I try it out!
Also, the new packaging look super sleek, which is nice.

OOTD: Casual Day Out
So I wore this dress, which I got in a haul from Asos.com.
I really like how it fits. It is also super comfortable and I love the colour.
I paired it with my studded airwalks.
Gotta have comfy shoes for a day of walking round the shops!

H&M Haul!
Yup, so I've been doing a bit of shopping and trying to add work-appropriate clothing to my wardrobe.
So while I was there, I noticed that Men's dress shirts are cheaper than ladies dress shirts. Which is a good thing for me I guess since all the ladies sizes are too small in the shoulder.
Only issue is that my hips never fit the men's shirts. And we also have the unfortunate boob gape.
Anyway, I got this lovely chambray shirt, some socks and some hair accessories.
You'll be seeing some of these in my OOTDs soon!

Soooooo…. it’s that time again!
Time for me to tell you about my top three songs at the moment!
1. Lucky Strike by Maroon 5
I know, I know, Overexposed was out such a long time ago.
Somehow I managed to totally miss this song until now.
The tune is so catchy I’ve been listening to it on repeat but I can say that I still don’t know the lyrics.
Maroon 5 always has nice songs. Good Job Maroon 5.
Can you believe it’s only their fourth album though?
I remember the first of their songs that I’d heard. It was She Will Be Loved from Songs About Jane. It’s been, what, 10 years since that???

2. All Of Me by John Legend
If you’ve been following my music mayhem rants for a bit now, you’ll notice this is a little out of character for me.
I’m all about upbeat, fast songs with a great bass or a catchy tune.
Credit for this selection goes to my mom.
My mom loves slower songs.
While this song really isn’t my usual style and took some time for me to warm to it, it is really beautiful.
They music and the lyrics are poetry. Or something awesome like that.

3. Grey Area by Sam Tsui
Okay, this sure isn’t new. It is from the album Make It Up that came out last year I think.
I discovered Sam Tsui on YouTube a few years back while browsing.
I actually found out about him, through a friend of his, Kurt Schneider, who is now a music producer of sorts.
I actually saw Sam perform live last year in Cleveland at the Alex Goot concert.

Manicure Monday: Now, isn't this familiar?
Hello dear readers of our blog!
Once again, the time has come. I know you wait for this every week.
Even if it is only to laugh at my failed attempts at manicures.
It's okay. Sometimes we need to laugh at ourselves.
I have no idea what to call this but I'm pretty sure you guys have seen a similar manicure about a month or two ago.
The main difference is that I decided I was dexterous enough to draw triangles this time.
It didn't turn out TOO badly. Thank goodness!

Empties!
We have another two empties again! It's that odd time of year where I suddenly am running out of everything at the same time.
1. L'oreal EverStrong Deep Replenishing Masque
Let's be honest I only bought this because I loved the shampoo and conditioner.
I didn't notice much difference in my hair after using this and I don't enjoy the smell, so I'm not going to repurchase this.
I'd rather stick to my GLISS colour-treated hair mask or my colour depositing hair mask from NaturVital.
2. Nivea In-Shower Conditioner
I remember when this first came out. I was just like, 'conditioner??? for your body? WHAT??? who even uses that?'
Well, apparently, I do.
As much as the idea weirded me out, this works out well for a lazy person like me who can't be arsed to apply lotion after I'm out of the shower and in my clothing.
The only issue I have with this is that it may be a little hard to wash off sometimes. It also likes to gather in my armpits, which is super annoying.
Other than that, I LOVE IT. I do actually feel more moisturized, weirdly enough.
I will repurchase it eventually, but I'm thinking of trying the one for dry skin, not because I have dry skin but because it smells better.

Health Kick! - Fruit Water: Blueberry Lemon
Still doing the fruit water thing, I might have frozen too many fruits though.
My dad was a bit stunned when he opened the freezer and found all that fruit sitting in there.
This was nice tasting.

Manicure Monday: Monday Blues
So this week I've gone with a pretty plain blue polish with a tribal design accent nail.
I kind of cheated with the accent nail and drew it on with permanent marker, not actual nail polish. Unfortunately I am not that coordinated.
I also put on a white base before the blue polish to bring out the colour and to ensure opacity.

Not much to say about this really...
I like this, it works. It doesn't smell bad or dry your nails terribly.
I have repurchased this.
I mean, you gotta have remover on hand if you're doing new nails every week, am I right?

Post-Finals ASOS.com Haul
So after my finals I did a little online shopping at www.asos.com
It is a UK based site and it offers free shipping worldwide, which is nice.
The clothes are quite affordable too!
I bought 4 items: a blouse, a dress, a cardigan and a pair of jeans.
