So I was looking at videos of Mama and during the part where Sylvia and Gerard are singing together one of the visuals behind them is a cat. And the cat looks a lot like the ‘Like Phantoms, Forever’ ep cover cat. Which has also been used as the Hollywood bowl poster for their performances there.

And then at the end of Mama the screen shows the word Phantom (the font is the same as the video that was posted). And now the eye says “Pigs Have Apples Not Tomatoes On Mars” which spells out Phantom.

And obviously the caption in the phantom video they posted with the very cryptic caption ‘ “A GAME YOU WILL PLAY” ’ could that be because of the text that’s put on the side screens of the stage before the concert and now the post cards and visuals and the fact that we’re decoding them or is it something else???

They’ve also used the word phantom a lot in the lyrics of songs, or songs are connected to the word phantom even if it’s not used in the lyrics

The ‘Like Phantoms, Forever’ ep cover Demolition lovers “our Phantoms forever”Welcome to the black parade “One day I’ll leave you, a Phantom” Sleep is apparently connected to the movie “Phantom of the Paradise” and that the lyrics "For the good guys and the bad guys” “For the monsters that I’ve been” are either direct quotes or references to the film.(this might be incorrect though so sorry if it is 😘) Surrender the night “distant Phantoms wailing”

In 2019 they posted the LA reunion show/concert announcement with the cryptic caption “Like Phantoms Forever” and then the concert was titled “Reunion… Like Phantoms Forever”

During the b stage part of the lltbp tour at the Arlington, Texas show on August 2nd (my birthday how cute…) Gerard spoke about the ‘Phantom Of The Paradise’, film and he explained that it was an important film to the band, but also important to ‘The Black Parade’ as well.
