Blue Buck, Phillips Brewing Company, 5.0%
I’m not going to lie, I grabbed this one purely due to the label. Something about it screams silkscreened summer camp t-shirts. It’s brewed in Victoria, B.C., and I love the little disclaimer “No ruminant mammals were harmed in the brewing of this beer”. I’m pretty sure that it’s tongue-in-cheek, but a little part of me is wondering if ruminants are commonly harmed in the making of beer, and if i should be looking out for that... Oh deer.
Otherwise, it’s not too hoppy, very mellow, medium bronze ale. I won’t remember the taste when I’m finished the can, but I’ll probably buy it again. If it were bread, it would be homestyle white, but from a breadmaker.
