Second chapter this week because I am hoping that if I overload y'all, you might ignore how uncomfortable I am writing Royd dialogue (which SUCKS cause he's one of my faves :(( )

In this chapter: Phenomaman and Robert yap and are awkward little weirdos for over a thousand words, the author needs to stop adding random world building, and she accidently made herself ship phenomablazer as an actual ship.

Since Robert is meeting everyone 6 (7?) months early, do you think Mandy and Phenomenon are dating yet? For how long? If not, how far off do you think they are from dating?

Tiny Robert AU: (Using real names so Flambae=Chad)
Our Robert was born much later than in canon, like he was 2 when Elliot killed Robbie. Except in this au, Robbie doesn't die and instead continues to act as Mecha Man but disbands the Brave Brigade, only keeping in contact with Chase to have the man babysit Robert but even that only lasted until Robert was 10. Robbie trained Robert to take over as Mecha Man and even occasionally had Robert fill in when he was busy though Robert typically runs comms and hacks for Robbie.
Anyway, unlike Robert, Robbie does not survive the explosion at the start of canon and the destruction triggers an alert to Chase that Robbie is likely dead and possible places to find Robert (who is ~17, has Beef, ran to the apartment we see in canon which is a safe house, and 100% heard his dad die over comms)
The bulk of the AU would be Teen Robert acting as Z-team's dispatcher because Chase convinced the higher-ups that it's either sign Robert on now and have him do what he was already essentially doing for his dad until he's 18 and they can sign him on as Mecha man or that kid is going to disappear and be Mecha Man.
Unlike their sibling relationship in canon, this version of Chase is 1000% Robert's dad, he was a (read the) main caretaker of this kid from the time he was born till he was 10, that is his kid. He becomes Robert's legal guardian and the kid lives with him now.
Z-team is much more lenient on Robert than in canon because that is a minor! No shipping or flirting either, that is a child. They constantly fail to self police themself though so he still hears a lot of nonsense from them talking among themselves. A lot of "Language! There's a baby on the line" "I'm not a baby."
I think Chad would be extremely conflicted by baby Robert because the mecha man he fought was 100% this kid and that was several years ago wtf.
Bruno would love this guy and basically treat him like a baby brother. (They're only three years apart!)
Alice, Colm, and Janelle would have exactly zero clue what to do with this kid. None. Alice keeps trying to get him into music but Robert has literally only heard rock music from before the 1980s.
Malevola loves this sarcastic kid, and will randomly drop off snacks for him.
Victor keeps trying to get Robert to go to Harvard. It's a compliment and he means well but Robert 100% takes it as Victor saying he can't be a hero.
Herm is so protective of tiny Robert, like insanely so. As soon as he realized that the 17 yo is (going to be) Mecha Man. Often brings cookies from his grandma for Robert.
Phenomaman (IDK why I don't think of him as his name) has decided this is his kid now. Not that he knows what that means/entails. Robert Robertson the Third is very nice to him and he care deeply for this child.
Courtney is not on Z-team by the time Robert is dispatching, since he didn't have a coma and have to be hired on, so she still joins but now her kinda boss is a kid a decade younger than her and she's pretty much responsible for the death of his father.
Idk much beyond this, but just the background is fun to me :)
#Chase is just trying to get Robert to prove he's alive and told Mandy exactly zip #Mandy is just worried because she's on some random person's balcony after Chase stormed out an apartment building #He got the wrong apartment like in canon. #Robert is NOT okay

Option 4: Watch the game fic but I use various clips from playthroughs of Dispatch so they're reacting both to what's happening to themselves and the various decisions/jokes the creators are making. (Would probably be a no romance in the workplace version )

Having Arrow (TV 2012) brain rot because I am mentally avoiding working on the final project for my Masters, so I'm working on creating an AU where Mirakuru metabolizes way quicker than canon and Slade is able to fully process that yeah, Ivo is not a reliable narrator and Oliver probably did not choose Sara over Shado by the time Oliver is dealing with the Alpha-omega virus in Hong Kong.
I think the whole thing would get leaked to ASIS and Slade would end up rushing to help Oliver because of course the kid would end up basically enslaved to A.R.G.U.S. but Slade would not be there in time so everything with the Yamashiros still happens.
Still not sure exactly how it would go, but it would be heavily hurt/comfort considering Oliver isnt as hardened as he by canon. Maybe Oliver ends up staying with Slade for the remaining years until start of s1 time? He did stay in Coast City away from his family in canon.
Still not sure if I would end up writing Slade and Oliver as a romantic or platonic pairing. Probably QPR knowing myself. Though if anyone wants to writing a similar AU for the romantic pairing i would appreciate it! :3
A sad update, I had around 1000 words written for this in my notebook (like my favorite on too :/ ) and then I went on a trip and it fell off my lap on the bus and I guess someone took it? Because I even got the attendant to help me look for it at the end of the trip and it wasn't there???I'm a little grumpy about it, it also has some of my other random fanfic ideas. Also it was a cheap but nice hardcover and I loved it. :(
Was talking with a friend of mine about White Collar (You will know who you are if you see this, Love, this is just my writing alt.) And as usual, I was obsessing over Peter Burke because I love him and we came to realization that a lot of Peter's characterization makes so much sense if he's an autistic man who at some point when he was little decided that the stereotype of the Everyman and later law enforcement was his rule set for life.
Like:
His being upset about breaking the law even when he understands the justification behind it (especially notable that he does not get this upset when he decides to break the rules on his own terms, aka he has the ability to chose the change himself)
The man does not deviate from social norms like ever, like impressively so. Yet doesn't seem to like? Process when he can break them?
Kinda the same as 1 but he has a super strong sense of justice, it just happens to generally align with the American justice system usually (and gets very upset when those in charge of the justice betray this system)
Math man. I know this is a stereotype but I know too many math nerds who are autistic to discount this.
Idk if it's actually his special interest but whatever he had with chasing Neal. I know that was his job but oh my gosh.
His whole love of baseball gives me the same vibe as those sport enthusiast dads who are surprised when their kid turns out autistic yet have a encyclopedic knowledge of their entire team's history.
The deviled ham sandwich and baseball game stakeout routine.
I can't think of more off the top of my head but this is now my crusade and I will be writing fic.
