now can we perhaps get a major publication to pick up the story of how tumblr's staff is massively hostile to trans women and actively lets harassment directly in violation of its tos proliferate constantly . maybe then our good friend matthew would do something productive about that too

It’s amazing how my post about one of the kinds of insults Russians have been using against Ukrainians for decades triggers such an intense reaction that Russians forget their own language and start making such funny mistakes.

“You fucking backwoods piece of trash 🤡 Over there in that shithole ‘Khuev,’ do you order shit into your yard or just throw it out the windows?! 🤣 Ahahaha!”

He not only used one of the other common insulting rhetorics Russians have been using for decades — where they portray us as ignorant peasants, calling us “khutoryany” (“backwoods villagers”), because khutor is a Russian word roughly like khata — a traditional rural Ukrainian house. The khata is an old type of village home with deep cultural meaning for Ukrainians: it was painted, whitewashed, and kept very clean. There was even a time when thatched straw roofs were banned because they were considered “Ukrainian nationalism.”

And of course there’s the typical wordplay combining the Russian swear word “khuy” with Kyiv.

What I didn’t even understand was the part about ordering shit. Why would we order it?

And we never dumped waste out onto the street anyway. But this kind of nonsense is pretty typical.

That’s also why my ask isn’t anonymous — otherwise I’d be getting messages like this constantly, the way many other Ukrainians here do.

a zombie pigman went through the nether portal and started hanging around the area since. i got attacked by pillagers and apparently one of their arrows hit him and he didn't like it one bit. didn't see it happen but now he's got a crossbow instead of a gold sword.

he is my buddy now and he guards the portal while i'm away

Was inspired by @brightgoat and their Minecraft : My World au, which is very rad. So I ended up making a character (possibly a few more related to said character, we shall see) named Pim! They're a nitwit villager who tries just about anything and everything in the hope of finding her 'trade' which, unfortunately, hasn't been successful yet.

I also have a few doodles of messing around with the design and figuring them out. Still unable to do digital rn, so unfortunately these probably won't look the best due to my camera quality.

mace the mason. Just making some minecraft ocs through randomizer as a little attempt at character design y'know. Though I would lie if I said Bright with her minecraft au didn't influence this.

I think old Villagers is overall a rare sight - that's why so many villagers are just apprentices at their craft, since anyone who could teach them died a while ago -- they basically reinventing the wheel each time. If a Villager lived long enough to be old and even studied their craft to the point of mastery.. Well , let's just say this alone can be respected quite a bit. And Mace, while quite absent-minded from time to time, also has something to teach the young. Maybe, this particular village with their influence will make their average life-span longer? As long as Steve/Alex doesn't come along, bringing the hoards of undead with their presence, of course
