I'm Lisa Elisabeth Rose, (aka. Lisa Lanser Rose), founder of The Gloria Sirens, member of the board of the Florida Literary Arts Coalition, co-director of the Other Words literary conference, and writing coach.I'm also the author of the memoir, FOR THE LOVE OF A DOG, (Harmony Books), and the novel, BODY SHARERS (Rutgers University Press), finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Foundation Award for Best First Novel. Recent honors include winner of the 2016 Briar Cliff Review Nonfiction Award, finalist for the 2017 Frank McCourt Memoir Prize, winner of the 2013 Florida Review Editor’s Award, and a Best American Essays 2015 Notable Essay. I foster herding dogs, train my Border Collies Mick (Trick Dog Champion) and Maisie (Advanced Trick Dog), help direct the Other Words Conference, and blog with awesome women at TheGloriaSirens.com.
