I think I’ll hc that Ariel can become a mermaid whenever she feels like it, because c’mon that’d be awesome LOL.

Then she can visit her family, and friends, easily.

I may start to use the live-action Ariel as massive inspiration / muse fc for my Ariel now, too.

“Raaaawr!” Simba finally revealed himself from the nearby bushes to pounce on the fawn playfully. Being a lion cub, he loved these pouncing games as it was coded into his instincts, not really caring about that Bambi was actually a preyanimal and almost jumped out of his skin.

“Gotcha! Hehe, this was just me buddy. Got scared huh?” A naughty smile formed on his muzzle. “Wanna go and explore somewhere?”

Bambi stood straight up, backing as far away as he could, bumping right into the heavy bark of some tree. “I-- i-- !!” He paused, realizing who it was, and his heart struggled to calm itself down. He had just missed the playful pounce, from his scurrying to get away, and sighed.

“You did scare me! Why’d you go an’ do that for??” He was momentarily angered by the surprise, but it quickly faded. This was his friend, after all, and he would just need to get used to those types of playfulness. “... We can, if you want.” The idea of exploring more of this forest and beyond always did excite him.
