The “comic” itself is titled, “When I noticed her smile”. Definitely feeds into the ship between these two as well as give me room to work with how Eliza reacts to certain situations. In this case, it’s getting caught looking at Blake and immediately apologizing once she figures that it might’ve bothered the faunus. But an adorable setting during the V2 dance nonetheless~
I have no name for her. The only thing I do know, is that she’s a liger, has supportive af parents, but she hides her teeth as much as she can while out in public. Regardless this was fuuun.
An old-ish (messy) sketch I did of Eliza and Blake. To be frank I only wanted to draw on a dark background, but overall it has its appeal. But for the overall situation, it’s most likely a moment of comfort and whatnot.
Old-ish sketch of an OC I had made as to:
A. Compliment Eliza’s story and B. Show one side of the effects of discrimination in RWBY. Given that racism isn’t a topic that is properly touched on as well as given time to develop in the canon, making a victim that both suffers and shows the negative effects of it, was needed. Give Winnifred a warm welcome, an albino rabbit faunus that works in Atlas’ labs with only one or two co workers with defining animal characteristics. Worked hard all her life, having to practically claw her way up to get where she is, so much so that she has grown accustomed to the unfair treatment. She is adamant about staying in line as to maintain her position, though no part of her screams fear or insecurity, no her body language or dull expression. Personally, she feels as if the White Fang only made things worse in Atlas (and subsequently Mantle) given the increase in fear from the human’s side (Pre Volume 1). Though once team RWBY and co arrive at Atlas, Blake is met with the harsh reality that there won’t ever be a perfect society where faunus and humans coexist, Winnifred being an individual that has already willingly accepted that view, though also not letting what she considers to be an inexperienced and naive faunus to tell her otherwise given that “Rising up” means losing everything she worked hard to gain.
