A trip to Little Guilin-

Last Sunday we took a short trip to Little Guilin, a town park located in between Bukit Batok and Bukit Gombak.

It was my first time there!

We walked round the granite rock in its waters, enjoying each other's company. It was slightly cloudy, but the weather was pleasant.

The water rippled lightly together with the faint breeze.

Today I made 2 new planter hangers + revamped an old one with new knots that I learnt

Knotting is therapeutic -

I made all these with twine that I already had in my art supplies drawer.

Discovered this whilst on my tea break! It was on my YouTube recommendations 💯

The brass and organs on this one rly adds a lovely touch to the whole song. So good, a true bop

smooth and sounds just like boy pablo

Some days I just want to curl up in bed and play songs like these all day

I love the lyrics of this song ❤️ it's such a simple song but it makes me feel so warm on the inside

I cannot wait to watch this song live in concert! I can imagine it to be a rly lovely affair with the audience just singing along

Also album art is A+ ✓

a little throwback: filled a page of my sketchbook with some spontaneous patterns

Watercolour on sketchbook paper / whilst drinking some tea at Paris Baguette.

Used a waterbrush (fine) + my travel paint palette which I diyed. I wish I could produce this into wrapping paper one day! But I'm thinking maybe I can use this pattern for a red packet design. Doable, doable.

this week sounds like - (july week 3)

Hello! Each week I'll try to post some tracks that I've discovered over the course of the week, please feel free to listen to them with me as I share them with you.

Let's start with:

A French number by Canadian singer-songwriter MUNYA. I think the intro immediately caught my attention and the electric organ + slightly laissez-faire mode of singing added to the whole mood of this song.

Now this one I discovered whilst having dinner at Potato Head (at Keong Saik).

This 6min-ish track builds up with the very consistent bass and clean percussion right from the beginning, the vox comes in later and wafts through in and out of the entire song.

For very easy listening and doing things.

Little Dragon woooooh

Yukimi Nagano's vocals are just so unique?! Would also like to give the album art a shout-out: the chalky textures give it so much character.

A revisit. I forgot about this song but suddenly felt like listening to Jorja Smith's Tiny Desk Concert on one of the mornings. The acoustic version of this song is a far cry from the original - somehow the former hits the emotions harder than its other self. It is more pensive and the lyrics seem better conveyed in this less hectic rendition.

I am just figuring out the kinks of this Tumblr site, and I’m realising that the app version of Tumblr is so much better for formatting and curating posts with multiple media compared to the website. Anyhow, I’ll be posting stuff as we go along, and we’ll see how it goes!
