Daddy tips - 3
Disclaimer : Baby food does not contain enough nutriments for an adult. A diet should be balanced enough to stay healthy.

Baby food is one of the dividing debates within the ABDL community; some love it and some hate it. I stand on the first side of things.
If my boy wants to have the fun parts of wearing diapers, being changed, having toys, a playpen and live as a baby in general, why would baby food not be on the programme ?
It is personally one of my favorites times of the week. Nothing cuter than having my little guy on my lap for baby food time. It is definitely not easy from a daddy perspective to get your little to eat their food, so hereās a quick guide on how to proceed and how it worked for me.
Step 1: Start with sweet baby food
Fruits jar such as apple, pear or banana are the easiest to eat. Their taste and texture are similar to regular applesauce and will not be too much of a struggle to eat. Of course, thereās always a ābaby food aftertasteā which will help your little to slowly be accustomed to this new fancy cuisine.
Obviously, start with fruits your little likes to show them that it is doable and that after all baby food isnāt so bad (right ?š).
Step 2: Set up a routine for this sweet baby food
Sweet baby food can be considered as a dessert and can therefore replace it. My boy used to eat a banana every morning for breakfast. This banana has been replaced by a banana jar everyday. Very easy and convenient and he loves it !
Step 3: Slowly introduce savory baby food
Now, the difficult part begins. After a few weeks/months of sweet food. It is time to start trying veggies and other kinds of savory food.
This process takes time, so do not rush things and go step by step, otherwise your little will hate it and be discouraged. We do not want them to be unhappy or eating against their will (respect their boundaries), so taking time is the solution not to put them off.
At the beginning, buy food that can be accompanied with grown-up food. Your little likes spaghetti bolognese ? Replace the bolognese with baby food bolognese ! They like fish and mashed potatoes ? Replace the mashed potatoes with baby food potatoes. It does take some getting used to, but the combination of grown-up food and baby food definitely helps.
Step 4: Buy full baby food meals
Once your little is used to the taste of savory baby food, you can introduce full meals. For this, you can use jars or prepared plates. Some can be very difficult to eat at first, so make sure you pick the right ones.
You can also ask your little to pick the ones they want to eat, which is very amusing as a daddy (and extremely cute).
Below is typically the kind of food plates that works for us and which Baby has now been eating twice on a weekly basis as his dinner. Usually two plates like this can be enough for a dinner.
Step 5: Set a routine for this savory baby food
Step 6: Encourage your little
Encouragement is the key. Nothing will make your little more motivated to eat their baby food if they see that it is making you proud.
Rewards can also be a good incentive as mentioned in the diaper chart post just here.
Bonus:
Understand that this might not be for everyone. Baby food has a particular taste and perhaps, only sweet food works on you or your little and thatās okay. If you cannot stand regular baby food, why not cook your own and still enjoy this lovely lifestyle š
