It hurt so bad but he didn't stop.
Buckles didn't stop running, his legs told him to start but his brain and heart said otherwise, the dark corridor of the A.A.H.W walls made it hard for him to see, in fact he had almost tripped a few times but he refused to stop, he wasn't staying in this hell, no way no how.
Eventually Buckles could see a light at the end of the tunnel, he gasped so hard he nearly threw up in excitement and fear, he was feeling so weak but he wasn't giving up, he's worked to hard for him to be stopped by his own weak body, Buckles, with a gasping breath and weak bones was finally able to make it outside and see that red sky that he strangly found himself missing.
The air around him was gross and polluted which only made his breathing harder and harder, why did Neveda have to be like this?
Buckles looked around was and was happy that he didn't hear any grunts or agents nearby that might have seen him, he tried to continue on but he collapsed on to the ground, his body being to weak to go on. Buckles was screaming in his head, he couldn't do this, he tried so hard, what if he gets found and his work be all for nothing?
Buckles felt himself fading in and out of consciousness, he couldn't go on, his breathing was becoming slower and slower.
While Buckles was fighting his entire being to stay conscious. There was a little someone close by...
On his daily stroll was Bullet.
Bullet had gasped in suprise at another Borrower in Nevada, he was on convinced he was the last one alive considering how anything as fragile as a Borrower can't survive in such an environment. He quickly dashed over to this other Borrower who seemed to be in pain considering all the scars he had.
Bullet went close to him "HEY!! ARE YOU OK??" He cried out trying to make sure that he could hear him.
The stranger looked up at Bullet and and began to pass out
Out of desperation Bullet shouted "NO!" He wasn't going to lose this opportunity, he wasn't going to be the last one here, Bullet grabbed on to the other Borrower and started to drag him back home which was difficult considering that he was taller than Bullet. He carried him to the corner ready to make it home.
When he got home he placed Buckles on his couch to rest.
