I know it won’t take off fully, because there’s no way the fandom won’t celebrate new content in that way, but please don’t even consider participating in this.

As someone who has studied media, I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW IMPORTANT RATINGS ARE TO THE FUTURE OF A PROGRAMME. If the initial reception of series 3 is too small, not only might we not get a 5th series, but the 4th series might be decommissioned.

Furthermore, the writers have lives! The directors, producers, cinematographers and editors have lives! The actors have lives! They all have personal lives and work outside of Sherlock and Benedict’s career is really taking off at the moment and THEY DO NOT HAVE TIME TO WORK OFTEN ENOUGH TO RELEASE SERIES MORE OFTEN. Stop blaming the creators for scheduling issues. It’s ignorant and childish.
