Nothing Seems Real

Nothing is real.

I've heard that bad news, it didn't feel real.

As if I were numb to all of it.

I seen what happened to them. I wasn't phased.

My mind is blank and spiraling. Days and nights go by and it doesn't seem like it's real.

The great times I've had, never felt like it happened.

Yet I'm trying to feel that way I know everything is real. Maybe get in a fight that leaves me with a busted lip or bloody nose. Perhaps an accident in which I feel unbelievable pain.

Trying to put the thoughts into words as they rush and scramble my mind. I'm struggling, hurting, not talking to anyone because they won't understand my reality.

The reality that nothing is real to me anymore.

Drowning The Thoughts Out

Recently I've found myself caught in a runaway from reality. Using the enlightening bliss of music to drown out my thoughts, no my demons.

Allowing my mind to relax and fall into the bliss of a new imagination. A new, comforting world, a new reality.

The music brings lights and worlds. Causing the reality of the real world to crumble and crash down, burning into nothing more than such soft crumbling ash.

My imagination runs ramped through the woods of the world I have fled my mind to. Where anything and everything can go at the snap of my fingers.

Running with wolves and breaking the rails. Taking the sight of being elsewhere. Feeling calm and excited, letting myself imagine where I can be and where I'd wish to be. Where I can who I am want to be and who I am, all the same.

Yet it all comes to an end. Floating back into the world of my own real reality. Not wanting to leave, but coming back to. There are responsibilities, stress, and evil people here. A world in which I want to run from.

Yet it ends regardless and it's back to the grey world known as my reality.

Given back to my thoughts, my demons. Being consumed until the next time I can drown out my thoughts.

I was high off my ass last night and had this dream where I was in this dense ass forest and sitting there was a tall woman. She was so tall I couldn’t see her face but she was wearing gold and I was like “uh…hi?” And she said “I made you, do you know that?” And I nodded and she was like “I hear your thoughts. Why do you hate my creation? Why do you try to destroy yourself? I made you perfect as you are. Please don’t break my heart”. Then she started crying and it flooded and I woke up with fucking heart palpitations like what does it Mean™️????

Run, Fly, Free

The engulfing feeling burning in my stomach, rising into my throat. The urge, want, and need to scream and run floods over me. Why? I'm not sure.

When I was younger, back in middle school, I always got this feeling. Never knew why. It would consume me and make question so much and wish I was run and scream. I never did. I don't remember when it stopped. Nor how or why. All I know now is that it sunk its teeth into me and didn't let go for the longest time.

Many years later and here I am with the same feeling I had so desired to never feel again.

The want to just run away and scream. To be able to run so fast my feet take off from the dirt of the earth beneath me as I begin to fly. Spreading my wings and letting go of everything keeping me down.

Feeling Free.

Free to be myself and do as I please. To yell and scream as much as I wanted without the disturbed glances of by standards. Being released of the chains that bound me to that feeling.

But still never knowing the cause.

Maybe it's a harsh past coming back to haunt me? A ruined childhood? Past abuse? Current abuse? So many different things that could lead up to the issue. Who knows.

For now I guess I'll enjoy the Run, Fly, and Freedom.

Scars

We often see our scars and think of a terrible past.

I see my scars and think to myself, I'm alive. I am alive and breathing. The wound I once had that hurt me deeply is now a scar that reminds me that I survived and that I am alive.

The wound is no more but pain of the past in which the scar is the present proof that you survived.

Forgive the people who hurt you. Not for their sake, but for your own. Do not let them run or ruin your life.

Forgive for yourself ad no one else.

Taken For Granted

It seems like we're all taking things for granted these days. It could be anything, everything. At the same time we're always putting others to the side all because we believe our past or present issues are far worse than others and tramples theirs. Everyone has went through something in their life. The rich kid who had everything but the love of their parents. The poor kid who had nothing but the love of their family. The kid beaten for being trans, gay, lesbian, etc. The kid mistreated for the color of their skin. The kid raped for just walking down the street. The child sold by their parents for drugs/drug money. The list goes on and on.

Everyone handles and experiences things different. Just because you believe your situation to be hard doesn't mean that someone else had it easier with their situation.

We are the children born into a broken generation of broken souls ad dreams who have risen from the ashes of our past as a phoenix would. We are the generation that can move mountains and separate seas. We use what our heart bleeds to express ourselves.

We write music to reach others hearts and minds, but releasing the feelings we have trapped within. We make art to express what emotions we've buried deep down but are too afraid to speak of. Once again, the list goes on.

We are sometimes taking for granted what we have in our own hands, hearts, and minds.

What we have to change the world.

The fire that was put out in our hearts when we were younger but are now able to ignite and use to set the world ablaze. We are here to stay. We are here to make an impact and to not let things be taken for granted. We have the strength to move forward and change things for the better because we've seen the pits of our hell and have climbed out of them with blood and scars, but we lived.

WE LIVED.

We lived and breathed. We made it out and now we're going to take back what's ours.

Don't let the phoenix die.

Days To Be Alive

After recent events in my life I have realized that every day is an amazing day to be alive.

I was at work today and I’m not going to lie, it was a little rough. We had to get a lot done. It was raining on and off all day which made it somewhat annoying to get the job done. On top of that the humidity was absolutely awful. 70+ degrees while it’s raining. It sucked.

In the afternoon as I walked to my truck to prepare it for pick up, I looked up at the sky. Grey clouds covered the sky and a comforting breeze blew across my face. At that moment I stared up at the sky, took a deep breath, and thought to myself, “I am alive. I woke up today. I am here, breathing and enjoying the weather I had once before thought was awful.”

I realized that no matter how bad the days may get, I am alive. I am breathing. I have two nephews, my little lions, who are soon to be born. I can always expect to come home to my little velociraptor, Arlo. (My 3 month old GSD) I get to have a nice hot shower when I get home from a hard days work. I could go on with so many more things I can always look forward too. Regardless of how bad the day is I can always look to the good things, regardless of how small they are.
