For over a year now the Havoc Marauder had been their home.
Not Kamino, with its endless rain and sterile white corridors that echoed with the sound of marching boots and distant machinery. Not the Republic that had crumbled almost overnight into something colder and crueler. Just this ship, patched together from constant repairs, carrying a handful of fugitives through a galaxy that no longer had a place for them.
She had adapted quicker than she expected.
The Batch made surviving strangely easy.
Hunter had accepted her presence almost immediately, trusting his instincts enough to know she would never betray them. Wrecker adored her within days and loudly declared anyone capable of beating him at dejarik deserved permanent residence aboard the Marauder. Echo appreciated having someone else around who understood structure and routine, while Tech eventually settled into long conversations with her during hyperspace jumps, discussing strategy, navigation, or whatever scientific topic happened to occupy his mind that day.
Crosshair however remained impassive.
Not cruel. Not openly distant in the way he had once been on Kamino before Order 66 shattered everything they knew. He protected her during missions without hesitation, covered her blind spots instinctively, and always seemed to notice when she was exhausted before anyone else did. When supplies ran low, a ration somehow always ended up beside her first. When danger appeared, he was already watching it before she sensed it through the Force.
But emotionally?
The man built walls faster than the Empire.
At first she assumed it was mistrust lingering from the early days after Kamino. Then annoyance. Then perhaps simply Crosshair being Crosshair â sharp-edged, solitary, difficult by nature.
But after a year of lingering looks, subtle tension, and the undeniable way his eyes always searched for her first in every room, she realized the truth was somehow even more frustrating.
Crosshair genuinely did not understand she was flirting with him.
Not when she deliberately sat beside him during long flights. Not when she touched his arm in passing or sought him out during missions for no reason other than wanting to be near him. Not when she consistently volunteered to accompany him on supply runs despite the fact he barely spoke half the time.
Either Crosshair was catastrophically oblivious⊠Or he simply could not fathom why someone would want him.
Honestly, she wasnât sure which explanation irritated her more.
The idea for the blaster lessons came to her two nights earlier while cleaning her lightsaber alone in the cargo bay.
The weapon rested across her lap beneath the dim overhead lights, polished metal reflecting softly. Once, the saber had represented certainty. Duty. The Jedi Order.
Now it felt like a beacon waiting to expose her.
Every ignition carried risk. Every glimpse of the blade invited Imperial attention. Surviving as a Jedi no longer meant standing proudly in the open. It meant hiding.
She hated that.
Not the lightsaber itself. Never that.
But what it had become.
A blaster, however, was ordinary. Anonymous. Practical. At least that was the excuse she gave herself. The truth was considerably less noble.
She simply wanted an excuse to spend time alone with Crosshair.
The opportunity arrived the following afternoon.
Hunter and Echo had traveled into a nearby settlement for supplies while Tech disappeared into the cockpit with Omega to repair yet another issue with the shipâs systems. Wrecker had wandered off somewhere in search of something to do, leaving the clearing around the Marauder unusually quiet.
Crosshair sat outside beneath the fading sunlight, methodically cleaning his rifle as though the entire galaxy ceased to exist whenever he worked on it.
The jungle around them hummed softly with life. Warm air drifted lazily through the clearing, carrying the scent of damp earth and greenery. Crosshair appeared perfectly at ease within it despite the perpetual sharpness of his expression, one long leg stretched out beneath him while rifle components rested neatly atop a nearby crate.
She lingered at the base of the shipâs ramp for a moment before walking toward him.
âYou ever do anything besides clean that thing?â
Without even glancing up, he answered immediately.
âYou ever do anything besides complain?â
A smile tugged at her mouth despite herself.
âI need a favor.â
That finally earned his attention. Crosshairâs sharp gold brown eyes lifted toward her slowly, suspicion immediately settling across his face as though favors from her historically ended in disaster.
âOf course you do.â
âI want you to teach me how to shoot.â
For a moment he simply stared at her in complete silence and then one brow lifted slightly.
âYouâre serious.â
âYes.â
âYouâre a Jedi.â
âA former Jedi.â
âYou carry a lightsaber.â
âNot openly anymore.â
Crosshair leaned back a fraction, studying her carefully as though trying to determine whether this entire conversation was some elaborate joke.
âYouâre telling me after years in a war you never learned how to use a blaster?â
She folded her arms defensively. âI know how to use one. Technically.â
âThat sounds concerning.â
âIt means I can hit a target eventually.â
A faint twitch touched the corner of his mouth, the closest she ever got to a smile from him.
âSo not at all, then.â
âOh, shut up.â
The amusement lingering in his eyes deepened slightly, subtle enough most people would have missed it entirely but she certainly didnât.
Maker, she loved seeing that look on him. Rare. Fleeting. But real.
She stepped closer, lowering her voice dramatically. âCome on, Crosshair. Surely the galaxyâs greatest marksman can spare some wisdom for the helpless Jedi.â
âSweet talking me wonât help.â
âBut it does.â
His eyes narrowed immediately, though not with irritation.
For a brief second something shifted in his expression, something dangerously close to awareness before he abruptly looked away again.
âFine,â he finally muttered as he rose smoothly to his feet, reaching for a smaller blaster resting beside the crate already starting to walk.
Meanwhile she grinned triumphantly before following him into the jungle.
The narrow trail twisted between enormous roots and dense undergrowth, beams of golden sunlight breaking through the canopy overhead. Crosshair walked ahead of her in silence, rifle slung easily across his shoulder as though it were merely another extension of himself.
The quiet between them today didnât feel awkward this time.
That was the strange thing about Crosshair. Most people filled silence because they feared it. Crosshair used silence deliberately, like another weapon in his arsenal. Another layer of armor between himself and everyone else.
But she had learned how to read the spaces between his words.
The way he slowed his pace slightly whenever the terrain became uneven without drawing attention to it. The instinctive way he always positioned himself between her and potential danger. The subtle tilt of his head whenever she spoke, even when pretending not to listen.
He cared far more than he allowed himself to admit.
Eventually they reached a small clearing littered with broken crates and rusted scraps of metal left behind long ago.
Crosshair nudged one of the crates upright with his boot before motioning toward it.
âTargets.â
She accepted the blaster he handed her, testing the unfamiliar weight carefully in her grip.
It felt wrong compared to a lightsaber.
Heavier. Cruder. Disconnected from the Force humming quietly beneath her skin.
âShow me your stance,â Crosshair instructed.
Confidently, she raised the weapon and Crosshair- he looked genuinely offended.
âThatâs terrible.â
She glanced at him innocently. âIâm trying.â
âYouâre holding it like it insulted you personally.â
âIt might have.â
With an exhausted sigh he stepped behind her before she could react.
Instantly she became aware of everything.
His body close behind her. The warmth radiating through the fabric. The faint scent of gun oil, smoke, and the jungle air clinging to him. His gloved hands settled firmly against her arms as he adjusted her posture with careful precision.
âFeet apart,â he instructed quietly near her ear. âSteady your balance.â
His voice had lowered yet he didnât seem to notice it. How very Unfair of him.
And then her heartbeat stumbled traitorously against her ribs. Crosshair shifted her grip next, his fingers briefly covering hers around the blaster.
âRelax your shoulders.â
âThatâs difficult currently.â
âI noticed.â
There it was again, that faint trace of amusement hidden beneath his dry tone.
She tilted her head slightly toward him. âYou stand awfully close for someone who spends half the time avoiding me.â
His hands stilled for the briefest moment.
Around them the jungle noise suddenly felt distant, swallowed by the tension tightening silently between them.
Crosshairâs gaze flickered toward her profile, unreadable and sharp all at once.
âI donât avoid you.â
âYou absolutely do.â
âNo,â he said quietly after a pause. âI avoid complications.â
Something about the honesty in his voice stole the breath from her lungs.
Slowly she turned within his hold until she could look at him somehow despite the awkward position.
âAnd Iâm a complication?â
Crosshair met her gaze fully now, his expression unreadable beneath the fading sunlight filtering through the trees above them.
But his eyes⊠His eyes gave him away.
âYou make it difficult to think.â
The words settled heavily between them and (y/n) genuinely forgot how to breathe for a second.
Because there it was at last.
After a year of tension, lingering glances, accidental touches, and emotional warfare disguised as banter finally proof.
Crosshair seemed to realize what he had admitted a second too late.
His jaw tightened almost immediately and he stepped back, restoring distance between them like a reflex.
âFocus on the target,â he said flatly, though his voice sounded noticeably rougher now.
She stared at him for a long moment before the slowest smile spread across her face.
So I've kinda always wanted to write a Story about a Vulcan and a Human falling in Love yet I never found a fitting Character until Sarek. Now I'm no Home wrecker so obviously I had to change the Storyline and Universe a bit. They meet 3 years after Vulcan got destroyed and unfortunately widowed him..
Here a little sneak peek:
Sarek studied her intently, observing the gentle confidence in her gaze and the earnestness of her extended handâan invitation he had never anticipated accepting. His steady and strong hand instinctively moved forward, finally meeting hers in a soft press. The touch was electric, each finger aligning in perfect symmetry as their hands met in the traditional Vulcan kiss.
"Your courage is... commendable," he murmured, his voice low and resonant, his eyes locked on hers as their intertwined hands hovered between them, symbolizing the delicate balance they teetered upon.
A breath she hadn't realized she was holding escaped her as she felt his hand finally connect with hers, her fingers naturally curling around his, just as his did with hers. She held his gaze for a brief moment before looking away, a mix of bewilderment and amusement painting her features. After a moment's pause, she met his eyes again, a hint of mischief in her tone.
"I just assured Ambassador T'Lara that our relationship is strictly professional."
She recalled her earlier conversation with the other ambassadors, where she had reassured them that Sarek's interest in her research was solely for his kin, not for her. Sarek's gaze remained fixed on her, his hand still entwined with hers in that intimate Vulcan gesture. He found irony in her words, especially given their current situation.
"It would seem your assurances require reevaluation," he remarked, a subtle edge of amusement lacing his tone. The logical part of him recognized that this connection held far-reaching consequences, both personally and professionally. Yet, the unexpected warmth of her touch and the open sincerity in her eyes compelled him to contemplate what lay beyond duty and logic.
I donât know if your Requests are open, but if they are could you write one where the Reader is a Jedi and traveling with the Bad Batch and when they meet Rex in the Bar she finally reunites with him and the Bad Batch just being so confused that a Jedi and Clone were in a relationship while the Republic was still there.đ€
That Familiar Feeling
word count: 3.4k
tags: vague mentions of dealing with grief and order 66, self-doubt, crying, many happy kisses
~and before anyone points it out, lemme just say this doesn't exactly match the scene of Rex reuniting with the Batch (for obvious reasons and because I forgot little details which is annoying me lol)~
Somethingâs⊠off.
Entering Cidâs Parlour, the feeling of the force overwhelms you. Itâs as if someone has thrown cold water over you, the force welcoming you with an eerie friendliness. It makes you falter, stopping abruptly as the sensation ambushes you. Â
âOof-â Echo walks straight into you, bumping against your shoulder. He takes a step to the side, his surprised expression quickly becoming one of concern âYou ok? What is it?â.Â
âI⊠Iâm not sure,â you answer honestly, before trying to ease his worry âItâs probably nothing, Iâll be fine in a few minutesâ.Â
Echo isnât convinced but he gives you a nod, not wanting to pry. âIf youâre sureâŠâ giving you a swift once over to make sure you didnât get injured on the mission, he carries on.
Itâs been a while since you last connected with the force, becoming hesitant to reach out ever since it happened. You tried in the initial days after the order was given but the overwhelming pain and grief that greeted you each time made you pull away.Â
Itâs not something you could deal with then and itâs not something you can deal with now, the wounds still fresh in your mind.
But this is a different feeling. Itâs the force you used to know, something that worked with you and not against. Itâs familiar⊠and that puts you on edge.Â
With this familiarity brings a fear of the unknown. When you worked hand in hand with the force, you could have located whatâs causing this in a matter of seconds⊠but nowadays, where you go from week to week without reaching out to the force, itâs much harder, with the subtle shift in atmosphere being your only warning that something is different.
Your eyes scan the parlour, though thereâs nothing out of the ordinary. The usual crowd is here, drinking their problems away and playing Dejarik.
Unfortunately, the Batch has gotten back later than expected, so the limited sunlight that graces Cidâs parlour during the day has vanished. Now, you can only rely on the frustratingly dim lights to help your investigation.
âCâmon, this way,â Cid cuts off your search, walking past you as she gestures to her office. Everyone begins to follow her, though youâre more reluctant.Â
Hunter catches your eye and you know he can sense it too but through a different method. Exchanging uneasy looks, you both make a silent agreement to stay on high alert before trailing after Cid and into her office.Â
Thankfully Cid isnât in the mood for nonsense (when is she?) and so she gets straight into business. You stay quiet during the debrief of the mission and the accompanied discussion of payment, your mind elsewhere.
Although the feeling isnât as strong in here, itâs still undoubtedly nearby, invading your every thought. Even when Cidâs focus turns to you, the feelingâs hold on you doesnât fade.
âWhatâs her problem?â her voice is faint, as if sheâs far off in the distance.Â
You donât react. While this feeling is certainly daunting, a part of you is scared that if you push it away, this sliver of familiarity will slip through your fingers and disappear forever.
More talking ensues, though itâs more like mumbling to you, and you presume Cid has brushed past your reserved demeanour.
The harder you focus on the force, the quieter their voices become. Closing your eyes to further centre yourself, the feeling slowly becomes intelligible. Youâre so close to uncovering what is causing this when it happens.
The sound of blaster fire is so sudden, you accidentally let go of the feeling, your body tensing at the noise. Your eyes dart open and for a split second, everyone freezes, the realisation of conflict sinking in before military training quickly takes over.Â
You reach down, instinctively going to grab your lightsaber but instead find a blaster in its place. Turns out, carrying a lightsaber in a galaxy where Jedi are seen as traitors isnât the best idea.
Hunter takes the lead, charging out of the office and into the main area. Cid keeps up his pace, ready to defend her business with everything sheâs got. Youâre next in line, alongside Echo. Tech and Wrecker are the last out, both keeping Omega close.
As the other patrons scurry out, a hooded figure stands by one of the tables. Placing their blaster down on the metal surface, their armour immediately catches your attention. You almost didnât notice the colour painted on to the plastoid, the dim lights distorting the shade of blue.Â
It canât be. Surely not.Â
As much as your brain wants to rationalise it as being someone else, the instantly recognisable blue of the 501st is hard to deny. Before the figure pulls down their hood, the feeling finally reveals itself to you.Â
This familiar feeling is not one to fear. It is not the grief of losing oneâs you admittedly became attached to or the terror of how the war ended but instead, itâs the exact opposite.Â
Itâs a reminder of why you fought so hard. Itâs the warmth people can bring, the safety you give others and is fondly reciprocated. But itâs more than that. Itâs love. Itâs Rex.
âWho are you?â yells Cid, gesturing to him. The others are still on high alert, with not even the likes of Echo noticing the comforting blue paint.
His gloved hands cautiously pull down his hood, revealing the face youâve longed to see again. He looks uncertain, his eyes glancing over everyone until finally landing on you.Â
Although his face is sullen with a mist of hesitancy shrouding his expression, you can still see his gaze soften for you. And thatâs all you need to know itâs actually him standing in front of you, not some brainwashed soldier or distraction sent by the Empire. Itâs truly him, the Rex you know and love.
Despite always wanting to hold out hope that you would meet him someday, you couldnât deny the facts stated on the Empireâs records. You remember the ache in your chest when Tech read it out, solemnly stating that Rex was reported dead.
Tears sprout from your eyes, a mixture of pure happiness and relief washing over you. Echo opens his mouth to speak but you get there first, taking the words out of his mouth.
âRex!â his name comes out as a choked cry, your knees starting to buckle as you close the distance between you both, Hunter and Cid automatically stepping out of your way.Â
You donât think youâve ever felt so much emotion at once. Even when you first heard the news that Rex supposedly perished with the others, you suppressed your emotions. Though that was more out of fear, unsure if you could control the power of the force while facing so much grief.Â
Perhaps thatâs another reason why you distanced yourself from the force, scared that the constantly lurking presence of the dark side might have used such powerful yet negative emotions against you.
You know Rex isnât a big fan of PDA, especially around his brothers but as you throw your arms around him, you feel him hold you back. His strong arms wrap around your waist, one hand running up your back to keep you as close as possible.
Itâs a surreal moment to feel him against you, his hard armour hidden underneath his cloak digging into you as you try to press yourself even closer to him. Not that you particularly care about that right now. The only thing that matters at this moment is Rex.Â
Burying your face into his neck, the warmth of his skin soothes you and for the first time in months, you relax.Â
âI⊠I thought youâŠâ you want to say a million things at once, your brain unable to pick one coherent thought to say âI heard what happened⊠the mission report said you were⊠Oh, Rexâ.
Giving up on trying to speak, you move to see that handsome face of his again, your hands instinctively coming up to his jawline.
The look in his eyes isnât what youâre expecting. A mixture of worry and fear shines in his gaze, his eyebrows pinching together as he wordlessly looks at you. It doesnât take a jedi to figure out why this is his initial reaction. Considering the recent event between all clones and jediâs, itâs understandable for him to be nervous.Â
Heâs scared that you wonât trust him, that what you once had together has died alongside the Republic. Thereâs only one way you can think of that can give Rex the reassurance he so desperately yearns for. Using your hands to keep his head in place, you kiss him.Â
At first, you feel him tense. The shock that not only are you kissing him in general but in front of his brothers making him freeze. But just as you wonder if you made the right move, Rex melts into the kiss, his grip on your waist tightening as his lips begin moving against yours.
Unbeknownst to you, as your lips touch your beloved Captainâs, the Batches' mouths all happen to fall open. Well, most of them anyways. Tech is too busy doing something on his datapad to witness the kiss.Â
Wrecker, who stands next to Tech, gives his brother a nudge. Tech looks up at his shocked face before looking over at you and Rex⊠and then casually back down to his datapad.Â
âWha- Tech,â Wrecker tries to whisper âare you seeing what Iâm seeing? Or was I hit on the head too hard?â.
Tech glances up again just in time to see the end of the kiss and you affectionately bury your head back into the crook of Rexâs neck, the both of you whispering sweet nothings to one another.
âConsidering her reaction when I informed her of the Captain's supposed demise, this isnât a surpriseâ he shrugs, refocusing on his datapad.
Despite Techâs statement that this isnât a surprise, it most definitely is for Hunter, who stands there in complete shock. Even with his heightened senses, Hunter didnât expect this. He isnât sure what to do or where to look but thankfully, Omega grabs his attention.Â
She lets out a small gasp as she makes her way to the front of the group, looking up at the others before a large grin spreads across his face.
âThey look like good friendsâ she gives Hunter a wink and he rolls his eyes, subtly placing his hand on Omega's shoulder so he can swiftly cover her eyes if you two kiss again.Â
Just like his brothers, Echoâs mouth falls open too but his lips quickly form a smirk. Memories come rushing back to him as he remembers the rumours that you two liked each other as well as the countless number of times Fives would try to get the Captain to admit his feelings.
Itâs a strangely satisfying moment to see you both wrapped in each otherâs embrace, finally getting some closure to what was once seen as a far fetched piece of gossip.
Speaking loudly so youâll both hear, Echo pats Hunter on the back âCâmon, letâs give them some spaceâ. As you pull your attention away from Rex, you watch the others silently agree, most of them giving you a reassuring nod before retreating to the bar area.Â
Within a matter of moments, you lead Rex to one of the quieter parts of the parlour, your hand in his as you sit on one of the lumpy couches. Rex sits beside you, hand still enclosed around yours.Â
You watch the Captain with adoration in your eyes, giving him a moment of silence as he gathers his thoughts. Your gaze lowers to his neck, noticing how his Adam's apple bobs anxiously. But then, he speaks.
âI⊠I thought about you every rotation, no matter how painful it wasâ Rex keeps his gaze down, watching how his thumb begins to rub the back of your hand âI wasnât sure if you⊠well, if you made it. I tried searching for you through mission reports but when the Republic fell, my code was denied access to all official reportsâ. He huffs out a laugh âI was surprised the Empire was smart enough to do thatâ.
Giving his hand a small squeeze, you smile, though Rex doesn't notice, his eyes still cast downwards âTech was able to hack into it. Iâm marked as missing in action and uh, well, youâre actually marked as deceasedâ. Youâre unsure how to deliver such news, unable to tell whether being labelled as dead is a good or bad thing, both choices having some proâs and conâs.
Rex nods, quietly taking in this new information, though right now, heâs not that bothered by what the Empire has him marked as. Rex has more important things to address, the Empire surprisingly being at the back of his mind.
Staying silent, he lets the moment pass. Rex knows why youâre telling him this and he finds some solace in how you want to give him any intel you have. But thereâs more important matters⊠or, well, relationships to discuss.Â
Yet despite its importance, Rex is hesitant to bring this up. On one hand, he doesnât want to mention Order 66 or the horrors it caused but he canât just ignore it either.
As much as he wants to bask in his ignorance, oblivious to what youâve been through since then or how you feel about the clones, itâs not something he can do. He has to know how you feel.
Speaking rather abruptly, the words spill from his mouth âIâm sorry for showing up without any warningâ.Â
Youâre taken aback by his words, not seeing a reason why Rex should be apologising. Taking a deep breath, he elaborates âIâm not sure where you were when it happened, or what youâve been through⊠I donât even know if you want to see me and if you donât, Iâll goâ.Â
Finally Rex looks up at you, his eyes glossy as he tries to keep his composure. But his voice betrays him, his tone cracking as he continues âI want you to know that, you wonât hear from me again if thatâs what you think is best. You have that choice. I donât want to put you through more pain, especially after everything this face has done to youâ.
You know heâs referring to the clones in general, doing a small gesture to his very recognizable face. Although Rex wasnât with you when Order 66 was put in place, he has some understanding of what youâve been through.Â
Rex has had a lot of time to think about this, to picture how his brothers suddenly turned on you and tried with all their might to kill you.
It was this very thought that made him hesitate when you first entered the parlour. He was going to call out to you but then the doubts crept in. Maybe you wouldnât see him but instead simply see the face of a clone, a face that tried to kill you, albeit not him specifically.
Youâre sure you can feel your heart ache, watching as Rex tries his best to keep his emotions at bay. Bringing your hand up, you gently cup his face.
Before you can even speak, Rex leaves out a shaky breath, your touch comforting him in ways he didnât know was possible.
Your voice is stern, determined to get your point across so Rex will undoubtedly understand how you feel. âThe only thing this face has done is love me, cherish me, care for me when Iâm injuredâŠâ you list out as Rex closes his eyes, hanging on your every word âcarry me to bed when Iâm too stubborn to rest, cheer me up when Iâm sad and itâs this face thatâll go to the most dodgiest looking parlour in all of Ord Mantell in the hopes of finding me thereâ.
He smiles at that last part, a stray tear running down his cheek as he opens his eyes.
Youâre quick to wipe it away, mirroring his smile with one of your own. Needing to keep you close, Rex rests his forehead on yours, savouring the sensation of your breath hitting against his face. âYouâre sure?â He asks in a low whisper.
âPositiveâ you confirm, unable to resist the urge to capture his lips in another kiss.
Over at the bar, Wrecker tries his best to inconspicuously look over. Keeping his gaze fixed on the two of you, he nudges Hunter, causing the Sergeant to groan. âThey're kissing againâ he announces.
Echo rolls his eyes, poking Wrecker with his scomp link âStop gawking at them, will ya?â. Wrecker flinches away from him, almost stumbling on to Hunter âHey! Watch it with that!â.
âYouâre the one who needs to watch it,â Echo retorts, his gaze drifting over to you two as he repeats his sentence in his head. âActually, no, donât watch it or well, themâ he tries to clarify, huffing at himself before hastily stating âyou need to watch where youâre staring!â.
âIâm just keeping an eye on her!â Wrecker snaps back âI didnât think Regs and Jediâs were on good terms anymoreâ.
Hanging his head low, Hunter tightens his grip on his drink. âWill the two of you shut it?â he huffs, feeling the inklings of a headache coming on.Â
Echo opens his mouth to say more but stops himself, not wanting you and Rex to join them mid-argument. Instead, he decides to take another swig of his drink.
âWrecker does have a point,â Tech chimes in âRex could still have his inhibitor chip in placeâ.
Echo wastes no time in jumping in again, determined to defend his Captain. âOh yeah, he definitely looks like heâs still chipped,â he replies sarcastically.
âPerhaps another defective chip? Or maybe the control the inhibitor chips possess are only for a limited timeâ Tech thinks out loud, purposely ignoring Echoâs response.Â
âThis is one long kiss,â Wrecker comments, causing Echo to once again roll his eyes as he realises Wrecker is still looking over âyou donât think they're going to uh⊠yâknow⊠take it further? They know we can see them, right?â.
Echo doesn't even warrant that question deserving of a reply.Â
Almost causing Hunterâs heart to jump out of his chest, Omega chirps up âHow would they take it furtherâ. She looks up at the Batch with an excited smile, the adrenaline of another clone being here yet to settle.
Hunter shoots Wrecker a glare, hurriedly fishing a few credits out of his pocket. âHere, kidâ he drops the credits into Omegaâs hand âdo me a favour and beat Wrecker in a few games of Dejarikâ.Â
Omegaâs eyes grow wide at the credits as she leaves out an âOoooohâ noise. Barking out a loud laugh, Wrecker beams âCâmon best of three, loser has to buy the winner Mantell Mixâ. As the two of them wander off to another part of the parlour, Hunter leaves out a silent sigh of relief.Â
The abrupt sound of Wreckerâs laugh catches both you and Rex off guard, causing Rex to reluctantly break off the kiss. His eyes dart from your face to where the others relax at the bar. âWas that directed at us?â he quietly mumbles, heat racing to his cheeks.
Giving him a reassuring smile, you peck his lips one more time âI doubt it, Rexâ.
Rex gives you his signature lopsided smile in response, something youâve ached to see for months. It makes you want to kiss him again but you can sense the others glancing over.Â
âYou ready to go over to them?â he asks, though judging from how his gaze lingers on your lips, youâre not the only one with the urge to kiss.Â
âYeah,â you nod, giving him a playful nudge as you add âthe sooner you say hi to your brothers, the sooner I get you all to myselfâ.Â
Rex chuckles in reply, standing as he tries to compose himself. âOh you have no idea how long Iâve been waiting to get you aloneâ he offers you his hand, shooting you a mischievous wink as he does.
âWell, Captain, you just have to wait another twenty minutes and Iâm all yoursâ taking his hand, you stand, ready to reunite Rex with the Batch.

HI! i was just wondering if you could do a wolffe story? if you havenât done any yet! creativity is all up to you đ„°
âI tried my best to not feel anything for you. Guess what? I failed.â
I really hope you like it. I am a little rusty since I have not written any Stories in sooooo long.
It was another successful Mission with the 104th Battelion. Her Master Plo Koon and the Jedi Council are very happy with her growth and she knows it is only a matter of time before she will become a Jedi Knight. The Padawan of course knows what this means. She will leave her Master and the 104th to get her own Battalion of very capable soldiers. Still the tought scared her more than anything. She never wanted to leave the Men that became her Family and the tought alone made a knot form in her throat bringing her close to tears. Normally she would be drinking and laughing with the Men but not today,no the words from her Master were still fresh in her Mind.
"You did well my Padawan." Plo Koons Voice was filled with Pride which made her Smile as well. "Thank you Master." She answered to which he only nodded before he continued talking. "I am very happy to tell you that you soon will be no longer a Padawan." (y/n) furrowed her brows at that giving him a confused look that made him chuckle. "Now don't look so worried. You will of course become a Jedi Knight and will lead your very own Battalion." Her Master sounded so proud yet those News didn't make her as happy as she thought they would. "How soon will I leave Master?" Plo Koon felt the shift in the Force, the saddness radiating off of her. "If everything goes well within the next two weeks. (y/n) you don't seem all that Happy about it." The Padawan let out a sigh trying to pull a brave face. "I am just surprised. I just need some time." He only nodded understandingly. (y/n) then walked away leaving her worried Master behind.
Her leaving of course didn't go unnoticed by her Commander. Wolffe watched confused as she quickly hurried away instead of celebrating with them like always.
Still Wolffe somehow manged to sneak away unnoticed and followed her.
He didn't need to search for her all that long because he quickly found her leaning on the railing looking down at the City below her. Wolffe recognised the look on her face. One didn't need to be a Jedi to see the sadness in her Eyes.
She of course felt his presence long before he even got close to her and turned her head around to look at him sending him a soft smile. "Commander, shouldn't you be celebrating with your Brothers?"
Wolffe only chuckled at that and slowly walked closer pulling off his Helmet. "I could say the same about you." (y/n) let out a laugh through her nose and sent him a playfull grin. "True."
He then tilted his head at her looking rather worried. "You are sad." Was all he said which only made her laugh. "No shit Sherlock!"
"Why?" Letting out a sigh she turned around to fully face him. "I will become a Jedi Knight soon and-" He then cut her off letting out a sigh himself. "And you will leave this Battalion to lead your own." She only nodded at that. "I don't want to leave you Guys. You are my Family... all I know." For the first time in so long Wolffe smiled softly. "We will miss you Commander. Though it will be a lot less stressfull without your airhead." He said teasingly to which she only sent him a playfull glare. Wolffe raised his Hands in defense laughing softly. "Only speaking the truth Sir." (y/n) laughed softly herself and looked back at the City below her. It was at this Moment that she decided to tell him the truth knowing that this Probably will be her only chance to ever do it.
Taking a deep breath she was considering her Words carefully. She then decided on what to say but didn't dare to look at the Men standing next to her. "I tried my best to not feel anything for you.â The relaxing atmosphere changed quickly as she said that. Wolffe blinked once, twice before looking at her with a confused expression not sure if he heard her correctly. As if finally gathering her courage she then turned towards him looking him in the eyes smiling sadly at him. "Guess what? I failed." He only stared at her in confusion. "What do you mean?" (y/n) cuckled softly and took a step closer to him. "It means that I Love you Wolffe. That is the reason why my Heart is filled with so much sadness at the tought of becoming a Full pleged Jedi Knight and leaving all of you behind." With a loud clank his Helmet fell out of his hand as his eyes grew bigger. Not really knowing what to say he only stared at her with confusion. Was this all a Dream? A cruel Joke she was playing on him? No she wouldn't do that. A Million thoughts raced through his head but he was finally pulled out of it as a warm and soft Hand gently took one of his in hers. "Wolffe I wish to stay with you." His eyes finally found hers again. "As do I." Was all he said which made her smile warmly up at him. They stared at eachother for a long while before he spoke up again. "Become a Jedi Knight (y/n)." This made her blink in confusion. But before she could ask why he would say that he kept speaking. "You worked so hard. Become a Jedi Knight and lead your own Battalion. I promise we will find a way to keep seing eachother." She softly nodded her head at that. "I will hold you up to that Promise Commander." He softly smiled at that and pulled her closer. On instinct she closed her eyes as he leaned up and placed a soft kiss on her forhead. So soft she almost didn't feel it. Wolffe then gently took her Face in his Hands to look into her eyes again.
Prompt: âThatâs called âstealing,â you know.â
âI prefer the term âborrowing,â but I donât care enough to argue the semantics with you.â
The Story itself is from me but I do not own any of the Caracteres and I found the Prompt on the Internet. Neither do any of the gifs belong to me!
So enjoy reading! :-)
(y/n) is a young Jedi that was recently demoted to being a padawan again. Because her old master already had a new Youngling she was sent to accompany none other than Obi wan Kenobi. Why she was demoted? Well, she might or might not have played one prank to much on practically everybody in Coruscant. Anyhow⊠right now she, her new master and the 212th attack battalion were back in Coruscant awaiting new instructions.
Being bored the young Padawan came up with an Idea. She always wanted to try out one of the Clones blasters. Luckyly for her most of them were occupied with different things so she could easily sneak past them. Quietly and sneakily she went into the weapons room and took one of the smaller blasters. Within minutes she was in the practice room and aimed for the target.
What she didnât know, was that a certain commander did see her, now quietly watching from the side.
Okay now, deep breath, aim, hold breath and fir-!!
BAAM!!
Not expecting the recoil to be this strong (y/n) was thrown back against a solid wall.
âUgh..!â
After a felt hour the stunned girl finally came back to, only now noticing that something was holding her up.
Waaaait a second, since when does a wall have arms and more importantly.. since when do walls breath? Slowly craning her head around (y/n) was met with two amused looking gold-brown eyes.
âAs much as I enjoy holding a beautiful Women in my arms, it might look wrong in someone elseâs eyes.â A deep but amused sounding voice said. As if struck by lightning the female Padawan quickly jumped away sending a daggerlike glare at the Clone. âNobody said you had to hug me you know!â (y/n) snapped back, making the Clone raise an eyebrow at her.
âWell then next time Iâll just let you fall back into the wall.â
âYeah⊠that does sound kinda painful.â
âIt is..â
âWellâŠ. Thank you then.â
âSure, sure.â
There was a short silence silence between the two of them. âSoo.. why are you here Commander Cody?â (y/n) broke the silence slowly trying to move between the âborrowedâ weapon and the Commanders sight. Which was futile âcause he already had seen it. Giving the girl an âare you serious lookâ Cody let out a scoff and crossed his arms over his chest. âI could ask you the same thing you know.â Letting out a nervous chuckle (y/n) started to fiddle with her thumbs nervously. âWell I was bored and this blaster looked so lonely so I just had to.. ya know.â
âSo you just took it without asking huh?â The Clone asked in a low voice.
âI wouldnât really call it âjust taking it.â (y/n) answered quickly.
âThatâs called âstealing,â you know.â He said with a sigh shaking his head.
âI prefer the term âborrowing,â but I donât care enough to argue the semantics with you.â Not being too short on wits the Padawan quickly answered.
âAre you- You do know I have to report this right?â This made (y/n)âs head snap up to meet his eyes again. Thatâs when she realized the slightly mischievous grin on his face. âThatâs how you gonna play this huh.â She thought quickly coming up with a plan.
âDo tell⊠Commander.â (y/n) started in a slow seductive voice not realizing the chills (the good ones though) it sent down the Clones back. Trying to not show the effect she had on him Cody swallowed hard looking back at her. âWhat is it?â He asked only now realizing how the girl came closer and closer.
âIsnât it your Job to make sure absolutely no one can enter the armoury?â
âYes but-.â Cody was cut off by the female.
âAnd isnât it your Job to make sure no weapons leave the armoury?â She hummed in a deep voice.
âYes it is.â The Commander answered now feeling his back against the wall. Their chests were now touching and (y/n) had to look up to see his face a satisfied grin on her face. âSo in the end.. the only one getting into trouble will be you, isnât that right Commander?â As she said that her finger slowly started to slide from his neck down towards his stomach making him shudder.
Finally as if a spell was lifted from him Cody started to grin as well making the young girl gulp and her confidence shrink. He slowly started to walk towards (y/n) making her the one stumbling back now.
âIf you think about it⊠we both will be in trouble.â The Commander purred in a deep voice. âH-how so?â She squeaked feeling like a mice in a trap now.
Now her back was against the wall or more shooting table. Cody quickly placed both his arms on either side of her trapping the Padawan against the table. âFirsly, you stole from an armory of the Troops. Secondly, you used said weapon not only alone but without any experience.â (y/n) could feel his hot breath softly fanning over her red face. âThirdly, you tried to seduce your Commander to get out of trouble.â Cody hummed in a melodic deep voice. âAs a Commander I do have the right to decide the punishment in a dire situation which-â
âI am well aware of the rules but this is not the Battlefield so said rules are futile.â (y/n) was silenced with a single finger pressing softly against her lip.
âWhich in this moment is the case now.â He then seemed to think about something making the somewhat excited girl tremble with anticipation.
Cody slowly but surely got closer and closer to which (y/n) out of reflex closed her eyes. Feeling his breath wander dangerously close over her lips which sent her heart in a run. Painfully slow she could feel him move past her lips, past her chin and towards her neck. Being confused she was about to open her eyes when a sudden wet touch on her neck made her stop and tilt her head back. Letting out a soft sigh she almost let herself fall into the feeling when suddenly there was a sharp pain!
âOUCH! What the hell!â (y/n) yelped jumping up and away from the Commander. Her hand quickly flew towards the throbbing part. It took her a moment to realize what the hell just happened. When she did realize it she sent the Commander a look of disbelief. âDid you just⊠did you just bite me?!â (y/n) screeched which made Cody laugh. âWell if I just let you enjoy it, it wouldnât be a punishment.â
He then grabbed the blaster and walked towards the door but before leaving he turned back around looking back at the now flushed girl. âI have been persuaded enough to let it go today. But make sure to be a good girl from now on.â With that said he sent her a wink and left the through the door.
It took (y/n) a good couple of minutes before she finally snapped back to reality then quickly chased after the Clone Commander furiously.
âOi! You canât just do that you know!â
Fives was such a flirt all the time! Always making her so flustered in the worst Situations and Times. One time they were on a Mission and while the Padawan was mid-fight he sent a flirty message through her comm, making her unfortunately meet the ground.
âYo Commander.â As she heard Fives comment through the comm she stopped short to press answer. âMake it fast Ark Trooper. Iâm kinda in the middle of something.â As soon as she finished (y/n) wanted to make a jump to get over an obstacle as his voice was heard again. âI donât usually do fast (y/n), but I can make an exception for you Love.â Did his Voice just drop down an octave? Doesnât matter because he already did the Damage, being distracted right as she was about to jump, she of course got tangled up in her own feet and face planted the Ground.
Well anyway, today was the Day she was finally getting back at the Arc Trooper. (Y/N) saw Fives standing with his Brothers nearby as she took big steps towards them determined to finally have the upper hand. As the Troopers saw her they quickly saluted her. âAt ease Soldiers.â She said with a soft smile. âHello there Commander Sweetheart.â The Padawan rolled her eyes at that. âMy Master does not approve of you calling me that Fives.â He only chuckled at that sending her a smirk. âBut you approve donât you?â Fives only got a short âHmpfâ at that and an eyeroll from the Female. But then remembering her Plan she then Smirked at him. âFives⊠You look lonely.â (y/n) said in a purr, drawing out every word. The Troopers looked at each other very confused. She then took a step closer to Fives and Placed a hand on his Chestplate looking up at him innocently. This small action made his Heart speed up and heat slowly creep up his neck and cheek. Where you always this Touchy-Feely with him? God his Brain was in overdrive⊠âI can fix that.â Was all she said with a wink before turning around and leaving the stunned man behind.
Fives took a second or two to grasp what she just said but when he did he turned into a spluttering mess, which made his brothers burst out laughing. (Y/N) watched the scene unfold from a distance which made a proud smile come to her lips. Fives was still baffled that she finally flirted back that boldly but he must admit⊠He liked it.
Oh what a Beautiful Planet this is. It almost looked similar to the Planet called Earth. Green Forests, flowing blue Rivers and something like Birds chirping in the Bachground? Oh well anyways. Up here from her Tree the Padwan could perfectly see all around her. And yet still she didn't seem to notice all of it.
"Now where could my Padawan have wandered off to now?" Came through her comm. A small chuckle left her lips as she pressed the Button to answer. "Where I always am Master. On the high Ground." A soft sigh could be heard even through the Comm. "Would you mind comming back down to the Ground below then?" (y/n) gave a soft hum at that and looked down below. It seemed like nothing was down there she slowly started to climb down. Being to lazy to climb all the way down the Padawan decided to jumb down the last few Meters. What she didnât expect was that the Leaves and Branches where a lot thicker making it near to impossible to see. So here she was jumping down the last few Meters completely blind. Everything was going well till she hit a hard surface that let out a loud groan at the collision. Huh funny.. did she accidentally jump onto a Animal? The force of the fall sent her and whatever she hit tumbling down onto the ground. Letting out a groan she quickly propped herself up onto her arms, quickly apologizing to whatever she just jumped. As no answer came, the Girl slowly opened her eyes only to be met with light brown ones. âOh..â was all that left her lips as she stared at the beautiful Creature before her.. or more below her.
These Beautiful eyes looked back up at her but he did not show any emotion in his face. âUh.. Hello.â left her with a small smile. The Men only stared at her not answering. Thatâs when she could feel the gentle hold of his Hand on her Hip which sent goosebumps all over her Body. He seemed to realize his mistake and quickly withdrew his hand. Only then he finally spoke up. âYouâre heavy.â Was all he said as a laugh mixed with shock left her. âAnd you are rude!â (y/n) said as she poked at his Chestplate with her finger. âCould you get up?â He then asked to which the Padawan just sighed. Finally getting up she then proceeded to hold her Hand out to him but he was already on his feet. She dusted herself off before she sent him a bright grin. âMy name is (y/n) and you are?â he didnât answer at first, only giving her a look she couldnât quiet place. âCrosshair.â Was all he said.
âMy Dear Padawan needs to learn to listen to her Master.â A sudden voice said which made her turn around to face them. âI am always listening to you Obi Wan.â (y/n) innocently batted her eyelashes at the other Jedi which only made him roll his eyes. âWell it seems you already met one of the Men we will be working with on this mission. The rest of them are back at Camp, where you should be as well.â Obi Wan then crossed his arms over his chest sending her a disappointed look, which she knew was halfhearted anyways. âYeah, Yeah.â Obi Wan turned around to leave but then turned back sending the his Padawan a small smile. âCome now.â (y/n) quickly fell into step with her Master and Crosshair followed with a little bit of a Distance as well.
As she met the rest of the Bad Batch she quickly made Friends with the other Guys. It was a nice change to the normally stoic People she had around. (Y/n) really liked to listen to Techs rambling, she loved the deep Talks with Hunter, enjoyed her reunion with Echo and Loved to joke around with Wrecker. And with Crosshair⊠well in the beginning he was very wary of her but with time he actually warmed up to her. So much so they even picked up some sort of âfriendly flirting.â (Much to her Masters annoyance.) But since it seemed to be just that Obi Wan just let it be for now. He knew that his Padawan was a flirt and he really couldnât do much about it.
After the Mission had ended (y/n) snuck away again like she always did. Without alarming his Brothers Crosshair quietly followed. As he walked through the Woods he finally found her sitting below a tree. Her being a Jedi she of course felt his Presence way before he even was close. âWhy hello there Hot shot. Missed me?â She said in a flirty voice sending him a teasing smile. The Sniper just rolled his eyes at her. âZip it.â Was all he said before he sat down next to her. No one said anything for a long time but the Padawan could feel something was bothering Crosshair. His Mind was racing the whole time. He noticed that he enjoyed the Padawans Company a little to much and it was starting to annoy him. Why was she always so nice to everyone, especially us Clones? âWhat is it?â This seemed to snap him out of his thoughts. âWhat?â He then looked over at her. âSomething is bothering you Cross.â She said gently reaching out to touch his shoulder. Somehow this seemed to bother him more than normally as he shot up and sent the Girl a glare. âWhy are you like this?!â She just blinked at him visibly confused. âIâm sorry?â Crosshair groaned at that. âWhy do you always try to befriend us Clones? Is this some strange Game you enjoy?â The Sniper then crossed his arms over his Chest sending her another glare. âBecause I like you Guys?â She answered confused now standing up herself. As she took another step towards him he quickly took one back making her stop in her Tracks. âCross why-â He cut her off his voice booming over hers. âCut this Crap! You are just doing this for your own Pleasure! You Love to make us enjoy your Company and then treat us like Clones later on watching our Suffering.â His Words stung like a knife and (y/n) could feel her eyes starting to burn. âYou wanna know why I care so much about Clones?!â She now snapped back at him. A deep âYesâ was all he said. She then stepped closer glaring up at him. âBecause no one else seems to do it! And becauseâŠ. because this is the Closest I can get to feel a real connection without breaking my Code! Because this is the Closest I can get to feel Love!â She now was breathing really hard, her heart beating so fast she could feel it in her throat. Crosshair was stunned silent as he watched a Tear slide down her eye.
As if possessed by his feeling he slowly reached out and placed his hand on her cheek. She slowly leaned into his warm touch her eyes meeting his. Crosshair then gently wiped away the Tear with his thumb. âIâm sorry I shouldnât have said that.â If this wouldnât be such an intimate Moment she would have gasped at the fact that THE Crosshair had just apologized but she decided to just smile at him. âIt is fine Cross. I can understand your distrust.â The small smile directed at him made his Heart speed up. God she was beautiful wasnât she. Both caught in this Moment slowly started to lean closer craving to be closer to the other. But before they could even get close enough to feel each others warmth, Hunters voice broke the silence.
âCrosshair do you Copy?â Being thrown back into reality like that really wasnât nice at all. Crosshair let out a sigh and slowly stepped back. âI hear you.â He answered still holding eye contact with the Woman infront of him. âWe are leaving. Get back to Camp.â Crosshair let out another sigh. âIâm coming.â As he let his arm fall to his side he actually sent the Girl a small smile. âWe need to get back.â She only nodded at that not really knowing what else to say. As they walked back to the Camp they were met with the others and quick Goodbyes where said as they all went their separate ways, (y/n) going with her Master and Crosshair joining his Brothers.
Crosshair stopped short on the first step and turned around wanting to see her off. But as he turned around he was met with her looking back at him as well from the distance. As their eyes locked none of them dared to move not wanting to leave. Crosshair almost turned around completely to walk over to her when Hunters Voice pulled him back to reality. He had watched the whole exchange as his eyes followed the direction Crosshair was looking at. âCross?â The Snipers head quickly snapped back around to look at his Sargent. Hunters face held a hard expression as he looked at his Brother. âYou are playing a Dangerous Game Crosshair.â Was all he said before he entered the Marauder. Crosshair let out a sigh. Yes a very dangerous Game indeed.
