It's me, @not-the-red-mist! You might recognize me from Ryoshu's blog! Admittedly, this project's been in the works for a HOT minute and I kept putting it off. Credit to @cathyofthewildhunt for the awesome PFP work and @lcbsora for the idea of starting this little series of blogs. I feel bad for taking so long to finally get around to this, but you know how life is.
My goal for this project is vastly different from Ryoshu. Whereas my intent with her was to dissect her character and come to understand a character I felt little appreciation for as of when the blog started back during Canto 7, this Dulcinea blog is self-indulgent. I've always been a huge fan of Dulcinea ever since Canto 7, and even before that when I read Don Quixote back in high school I appreciated the internal conflict between the princess that did not truly exist and his desire to nevertheless appeal to that princess. You can expect this to be a running theme once we eventually get around to writing out cantos and their consequences. You can view miss Dulcinea here as more of a "Pre-Canto 4 Don Quixote" until then.
As a note, you might be wondering why she addresses herself as Don Quixote instead of Dulcinea. I have plans regarding this. My current intent is that when her "canto" comes around, I'll write it as a sort of RP event. If there is sufficient demand, and I have sufficient energy, I might even eventually publish fic regarding her relationships in the past. But, those are huge ifs. For now, please enjoy the ride. I know I will.
