a few days ago my friend riri (@littleprincemegafan) said this on her tiktok about the TLP anime and its characterisation of the LP and not only do i 100% agree but i think that the 2015 movie is also guilty of this, but in the opposite direction.
TLP2015 characterises the LP as this Mysterious Wise Child who is often level-headed and doesn't feel emotions as strongly as in the book, which i Hate. it makes him feel like more of a Concept than a child. in the 2015 movie he doesnt cry or yell Once, and the scenes where he laughs kinda feel Forced? idk how to explain. all i know if that if you look at the book, you'll notice that the LP is a boy who's full of personality and is very opinionated! he straight up laughs in aviators face about his plane!!!!
and he gets SAD. he gets ANGRY. he bursts into frustrated tears when the aviator brushes off his concerns in regard to his rose. he breaks down in the grass after he finds out his rose is a common rose. he gets uncomfortable around some of the grownups and afraid around the snake (which, to be fair, the 2015 movie Kinda touched on, but not as much as it shouldve Especially during his death imo)
and his death was sooooo emotionless. in the book he has to sit down because of how scared he was. he's pale and he's trembling and his heart is racing when aviator catches him after the wall scene. he's heartbroken and terrified when he's dying. the 2015 movie barely did Anything with his fear and his Emotion.
riri herself referred to 2015 LP on her tiktok as smth among the lines of "a blank canvas for philosophical quotes" and Yeah. thats what he felt like. he felt like a blank slate for the famous lines from the book to be spoken by. not like an actual character and a genuine little boy like in the book. whatever. many thoughts about TLP2015.

Today I wanted to talk about Kyle Bassinga. Kyle was a 21 year old man from Georgia, whose family described him as "a kind, thoughtful, and smart young man who loved nature, music, and the people around him". Kyle Bassinga was killed on February 18th 2026, just ten days after his birthday. He was found hanging from a tree in a park.
The police ruled it a suicide. The family and local community demanded an investigation. The police refused to change their ruling.
I know this website it too white for this to really go anywhere, but an understanding of the present reality of white supremacy in the United States is just so important to transfeminism here. Lynchings never stopped, white supremacy never went away, you just stopped looking.
Do you like the little prince and the season of the little prince
As a child, this story passed me by, but now I treat it with warmth
As for the season? it made me cry a little, good stuff
