Dead. A boy had been found poisoned at the edge of the woods -- one that almost took her own life but this boy hadn’t been as lucky. This wasn’t an accident; she could see it in the worry etched into the lines of her professors forehead and the panic they kept buried down for the sake of their students.
She wanted out of there -- no she needed to leave. Their fear, anguish suffocated her and she couldn’t stand to watch another classmate succumb to the grief of losing a friend. And while she hadn’t been the one to do such a thing to this person, she knew his was how people suffered.
With tears clouding her eyes, the Hufflepuff eased her way through the crowd, keeping her head down as not to get caught by any lingering eyes. Maybe she’d been poisoned and maybe she didn’t care if she was -- but she needed out.
