Concerning recent PS news

with PlayStation’s recent announcement that they’re going to stop producing physical disks in 2028, along with them being able to TERMINATE YOUR PSN ACCOUNT if you don’t log on in a certain time frame, as well as the ps6 supposedly being over 1,000 USD I’ve accepted Sony needs to fall.

IF YOU DONT AGREE WITH WHAT SONY IS DOING BOYCOTT THEM! Sony (and PlayStation under them) rely on buyers and stockholders to operate. If you don’t agree then stop supporting them and move to other companies. Cancel your PS+ don’t buy a ps6, switch to Xbox Nintendo or Steam, and pull out Sony stocks if you have them. Continuing to support them because “well they’re still the better option” STOP, YOU ARE FEEDING THEIR BAD BEHAVIOR. The best way for the people’s voice to matter is for the people to boycott. And if they still don’t listen then another company will rise up in the future to replace them.

But outside what I usually post but eh, whatever. I haven’t done a full drawing past sketches traditionally in at least a year if not more so I thought I’d take a crack at it. Haven’t drawn any of the FNAF animatronics before but I thought I’d try, and for a first time I’m pretty happy with it.

only a year apart

Decided to redraw the image that makes up my pfp and apparently it’s much newer than I remember. (The OG is the one on the right) just over a year apart and this was the improvement. And this time I wasn’t too lazy and didn’t neglect to draw the chair.

7 hours and 34 minutes later this took the title as longest time taken for any drawing. Got a bit of inspiration from replaying the trilogy on open goal… and listening to Shinedown for some reason…

first AO3 fic in months

God it’s been so long since I last posted on AO3, so here we are. Not the official start of this one’s release, I’m just too excited about this one to be able to wait until I’m done drafting it to start releasing. So for anyone interested here’s the first two chapters.

Description: 4 years after the events of Jak X, Jak has been settling into life in Haven. That is until a messenger ends up dead in an alley with traces of dark eco around the body. Now he has to figure out who’s behind the murder as more and more happen, each one left with evidence that eerily points closer and closer to him.

what dark Jak could have been

every time I play Jak II or 3 I always think about the potential dark Jak had as a game mechanic, but instead it just kinda exists. Don’t get me wrong, I still like using it but I wish there was more of a reason for it to be there. What I feel could have made it better are a few possible things, one of which I don’t think would be as popular. 1. more segments where you’re forced into using it, like the beginnings of both II and 3 when protecting Kor and the kid, or the arena in 3. When I say more levels with dark Jak I don’t mean like the dark Daxter levels from tlf, I think perhaps some large combat situation where in the middle the game triggers the dark eco. I’ve also had this thought, more specifically with Jak II.

2. another one aimed more towards Jak II. Perhaps an eco meter that has two sections of the gauge. Once the meter is filled to the first part of the gauge dark Jak is free to use, however once it fills to the second part you’re forced into it. So once it hits the first section there’s two things the player can do, either use dark Jak and get rid of it, or try and avoid picking up eco. However I do believe there would be a sizable gap between dark eco activation being possible and the time it overloads so the player doesn’t have a tiny window between getting rid of the dark eco and it going off when it’s least wanted.

3. The oracle. Perhaps to combat being forced into dark Jak with the eco meter one of the upgrades could be the ability to no longer overload the gauge, allowing the player to no longer worry about their eco intake.

those are just a few ideas I’ve had on what I personally think would make it more interesting and much more remembered. Although with opengoal being a thing who knows, this idea could turn into a mod one day.

When in doubt, I draw Jak. Doing this has made me realize how much my art improved this year.
