As a kid it never bothered me that spongebob and Patrick were parents, I never cared that Jimmy was a bit feminine, I never questioned the fact that Him was a cross dresser, I never questioned Vanity smurfs sexuality, it never bothered me that chucky had a mom and sister of a different race or that Betty and Howard’s gender roles were switched, and I didn’t care that Mulan was a woman in a mans world. It’s sad how some parents are disgusted when they see stuff like this and tell their kids that they’re supposed to be masculine or feminine, or that marriage is only for a man and a women, that a women is meant to be at home while the men are at work, and I find it especially sad when parents teach their kids that interracial marriage is disgusting. Your gender, sexuality, race or religion does not matter. The only thing that does matter is that you love yourself and others around you for who they are the way we loved our childhood characters.
