OKay!!! This is my new pinned post and mainly to shame me into finishing some of my projects. Be warned this is a shamefully long post.

Unpicking stitches from 28 count fabric is a total bitch. If this was any other project I wouldn't bother but.....

Spot the difference

A whole hour and a half of unpicking and restitching for very little visible payoff (at the moment)

#it would have messed up the balance of the whole piece and this one is an important gift so #u's xstitch rambles

Body hidden in wall has got to be my all time least favourite trope in crime shows like can we just not that shit freaks me out so much

I really wish the beans would release the bean machine video from the live show because dear god it feels like a fever dream

Okay so I only went to the Glasgow liveshow and it was brilliant. Basically when it came time to turn on the bean machine they were like oh we weren't sure how to adapt the jingles for the live show but we came up with this. And then on the big screen a video came up of Mike in like a full neon orange morph suit (like the green screen ones, so literally only his face not covered by it) and he was on like a pathway in the woods, the bean machine jingle was playing and Mike did what I can only describe as interpretive dance to it. It was the funniest thing ever

Also earlier they'd been flicking through some pictures on the screen and "accidentally" shown the first still of this video and then gone "oh no you weren't meant to see that one" after clicking back to the previous picture. But like even having seen that still for a split second I was unprepared for how insanely hilarious it would be in motion

Why is it that every time I google something like "Are olives poisonous to cats" the top results are always like "Fun fact: Cats are carnivores! This means that they eat meat. There is no reason to include olives in a cat's diet. You should feed your cat cat food, which is dry or wet food especially designed for cats. You can purchase this at a store." like is there a single person alive on the planet who's googled "Are blueberry muffins safe for cats" because they're planning on switching their cat to a muffin-only diet??? No, I'm asking because the little bastard somehow popped open the packet while I was putting away the groceries and dragged one under the couch before I could react and now I need to know if I should call the after-hours vet. "Try to keep human food away from cats." i live in a studio apartment with a completely silent and permanently hungry apex predator who has the intelligence of a toddler and the desperate Machiavellian cunning of a creature who spent his formative months on the streets. He can already open doors and he is this 👌 close to learning how to open the microwave. He is stronger than me and covered in knives. So im gonna do my best but for the moment i just need you to tell me whether this yoghurt is going to kill my son y/n

I've been using the pet poison hotline's poison list cause it has a search function. It also tells you whether something is mildly, moderately, or severely toxic which can be very handy! It doesn't contain like everything but it might be a good place to start, it also includes plants for fellow houseplant lovers <3

Not a big sports person aside from f1 (and occasionally the six nations) but got to go watch the judo at the commonwealth games today and damn it was fun

#also the family of one of the scottish athletes was sat in front of us and he came up to see them and thanked everyone for cheering for him #it was very endearing #but also must be pretty shite not being Scottish at these games because damn the disparity in the cheering was insane

From like 2009/10 to 2018 I think there was a photo of George Russell on the wall in the hallway of my home.

So I went to the same high school as George right. I was a few years younger than him but he was in the same year as my brother. Now every four years there was a full school photo taken and my parents had all of them my siblings and I were in up on the wall. My brother remembers George leaving in 3rd form to follow his f1 dreams so that does mean there's a chance he wasn't there in a photo year but! I remember there being one where this brother was super young so I don't think that's the case.

#in 2018 my mother redecorated the hallway and the pictures never went back up but I don't believe my father would have got rid of them #I'm going to my parents house on Monday so could try and find them but my dad might be away rn so I might not be able to #I'd totally forgotten about the existence of these photos but my high school bestie was visiting the other day and #it just popped into my head this morning #george russell
